Dr. Patetsios is a excellent, friendly and caring physician. He took extra time with my elderly mother. He explained why my mother was having pain in her legs. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean office. Highly recommend!!

I am an ex-employee of Dr. Patetsios. I have known him personally for over 10 years, but working together for about 9 years. Throughout my nine years working for him, I have learned so much. He is genuinely an angel from heaven, truly loves his patients. While the job is stressful, he always strives to give the best care possible. He always tells his patients "if you were my mother/father, I would..." Also, he remembers his patients, if I give him a name, he can re-call "isn't that the guy who had.... and etc", it amazes me how much he can remember with this stressful job. What I learn from him, it is that surgery is the last resort, and always stress that patients should be treated as if they are your family member. With healthcare now being so monetary driven, and hospitals buying-out private practices, I am proud to say that Dr. Patetsios is a surgeon who does not allow mega groups or hospital tell him what to do. Being a private practice, allows the doctor to make his decision that is guided for best patient outcomes, instead of monetary goals given by administrators. In addition, whenever fellow colleagues such as doctors, nurses, janitors, and other personnel of the hospital comes to see him at the office, they always say "he is one of the nice ones and works hard." It is good to know his reputation carries on at the hospital. Also, he gives out his cellphone number to patients instead of using a service because he rather hear directly from his patients. With his hard work and dedication, he has been selected for the past 2 years, the best vascular / vein care of Nassau county. He also received a citation for best vascular / vein care by Senator Anna Kaplan of New York. Moreover, he is a NYPD district surgeon, who is proud to serve service members of the city he grew up in.
