Please think twice about using this facility with elderly family. Brought my 80 year old mom for immunotherapy for 2:15 appt. They moved the appt WHILE we were waiting to 2:45pm and then delayed until 3:45 as pharmacy backed up. Making seniors wait 2 hours+ with no updates, etc. is just unprofessional.

MSK is known to be the best?? I don't think so...my son had a late MRI appointment & he needed to be evaluated first. The look on their faces was clear that they did not want to have anything to do with him because they would be stuck late at work. Instead they push him off to the MSK in the city & he never gets the MRI needed for a surgery. AGAIN MSK and the medical field lets me down.

Fine, the good things: there are a number of people that are competent here. Bad things: there are some people here who would rather sugar coat things so they don't have to deal with it and offer solutions that could easily cost you your life. Man you'd think that if you're treating patients you would want to make sure that patient communication is a top priority. It's not at this facility. Any phone calls are frequently unanswered. Messages on the portal are generally not responded to. Changes to the schedule or even PRESCRIPTIONS that are filled has often NO patent notification. I can't even change appointments that are suddenly given because they refuse to either answer, message, or even entertain changing the appointment. If there was an anonymous evaluation, the teams that I'm dealing with would get a one for communication. Even the pain management team took almost 5 MONTHS to get in touch. What, were they hoping the problem would resolve itself at the CANCER center??? Holy ****

You'll be laying down for about 20 min. My bf just did this 2 weeks ago and the whole procedure took a couple of hours cause they made him drink something beforehand and had to wait to make sure they get the correct readings.

You need to contact the hospital direct. I can tell you that I have been treated by MSKCC for 20.years and no better cancer hospital as far as I am concerned. Good luck.
