I visited Gitano on a beautiful midsummer afternoon. As you can imagine, it was a very popular booking. We arrived right on time for our reservation but had to wait a while at the entrance. I figured out that the "Wait List" line was mixed with those who were waiting to be seated for confirmed bookings. I didn't understand why the two groups of people weren't separated. The situation would've been better served by two check-in staff members. We were finally seated and our initial waiter took our drink order. Strangely enough a second waitress came by to take our order again. The first waiter had apparently gone on break but I guess hadn't done a proper handoff (?) So we submitted our order again. Our food came out pretty quickly but then the drink bowl we ordered took forever and a day to follow. I thought that was strange becuase typically, drinks come out faster than the food. In any case, the drink bowl made sense for the amount. The food was great (the queso was so good and the guacamole was fresh). We finished our food and drink and took a stroll around the property. It really is a beautiful space. The DJ kept the groove going through a beautiful sunset (arguably the best time to go during the summer). They have so many different settings/enviroments to enjoy. These include formal dining tables, day beds, lounge seats etc. Whatever your event type is, I'm sure you can find the right space to perch. My only gripe in booking is that it's a little difficult trying to identify, visualize and book tables at the different spaces. My conclusions: It's worth a visit during the summer but for the price you're paying, the service and function need significant improvement.

Out of the world. Feel like you are in Jamaica with burning sage and hip music and lots of water features . Price is $$$ for food and drinks but worth the experience and time at this place

I expected more from this place, little variety of food, the food was not good. The service was not bad but they sat us in the place with the worst view when the restaurant was empty.

Disgusting customer service. No regard for repeating customers. Were falsely accused of cursing the host out after we were told to leave because he didn’t believe our dog is a service dog. Mind you, we were already let through by another hostess and were on our way to the bar area. Manager threatened to force us out by security and didn’t even bother to ask us what happened or hear our side of the story at all. It really seemed like a personal attack, a FALSE accusation and an awful response from very unprofessional staff and management. Used to really like it here but now the good memories are tainted by this awful, disgraceful and embarrassing experience. We actually celebrated our wedding anniversary here (along with our service dog)! We tried to bring my parents here today who happened to be in town. To think we thought this location is fit for important events in our and our families lives is now laughable. Will never spend another dime at this sham of a place because of their entitled posh and smug attitudes and we will make sure that we tell everyone we know what horrendous place this is. Never again.
