Kim was an absolutely phenomenal driving examiner. I took my test with her Saturday 9/18/21 and was extremely nervous as this was my second test. Her presence in the car was very calming and she made me feel at ease. She gave clear directions, was extremely professional, personable and had a glowing, warm personality. This world needs more people like Kim! I am so pleased with my experience and highly recommend this driving school, the staff is top notch and their website is easy to navigate and book appointments.

I took both my knowledge and driving tests here. I was absurdly nervous for my driving test, but my instructor was incredibly kind and understanding which made it much easier! The whole process took maybe 20-30 minutes. I ended up passing on my first try despite all my fears, and I can’t recommend this place enough.

I just took both of my tests yesterday and it was actually kind of fun! The people who work there are very friendly, and they helped me log on to my account when I couldn't find my Washington ID which was such a relief! Oh, and it was just nice to hear them talking about Stephen King books in the background while I was taking the written test, helped with my nerves a bit. Haha :) The student driver car is so fancy and it was really fun to drive and that also helped with my nerves! Clyde was really cool. Anyways, overall a very positive experience. And now I can drive on my own!!!

I recently got my driving license and I had a great experience at Nelson Driving School. Starting from knowledge test till I got my license the process was smooth, professional and enjoyable. Especially my Instructor/teacher Don Whitney. It was professional but still a very fun experience learning driving from you. Thank you for being patient and accommodating me. :-)

$35 each but the actual license is a completely different cost and the price is about $80+ and that price you pay at the DMV.
If having to do both tests they will have you show an hour early to do the written, then driven. If only doing one test they will yell you a time to be there.
Hi Kashmir, Department of Licensing is who issues driver licenses. You can check their website www.dol.wa.gov for current pricing information. The cost of each test (knowledge and drive skills) is $35 for each test. At this time we are by appointment only. Please check our website to schedule a testing appointment. www.nelsondrivingschool.com
Unfortunately it was the course final not the WA State Knowledge Exam. So you will need to take that and the WA Drive Skills Exam to be licensed.
For teens we have a class starting tonight in Bellingham from 7-9pm and we have classes starting at our high school locations throughout April. Please check our website. www.nelsondrivingschool.com
You can either borrow a vehicle from a friend or borrow ours for an additional 50 dollars. - NDS staff
35/ written test + 35/skills test. If you don't have a car, then you can use ours for an additional 50. I'm a Nelson employee btw.
Mondays 4-8 PM Tuesday - Saturday 10-5 At the bellingham location Tuesday through Saturday 10-2 in Lynden
Tests are 35 per attempt - so 70 total assuming you pass. However, the DOL (not DMV - there is no such thing as a DMV in Washington state) has their own rates that they do not like us to quote.
Bellingham hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10-5. Monday evening from 4-8 for written only. Lynden is 10-5 Friday and Saturday.
Yes, we are open from 4-8. Written tests only.
If you are over age 18 you can come in and take the WA State Knowledge and drive exam at our Bellingham or Lynden location. Once you pass both of those tests than you can go to the DOL and apply for your license. If you are under age 18 in the state of WA to get your driver license you must complete driver education. You can check out our website for when our next classes are offered.
I am hoping to have Fall classes posted no later than July 31. School generally have their calendars approved by then.
