Thank you Mike and the Trumbo Funeral Chapel staff for the professionalism you demonstrated in making cremation arrangements for our beloved sister. We greatly appreciate the patience and sensitivity you extended to our family during these challenging Covid-19 pandemic circumstances.

0 stars. My mom died during the covid pandemic and no funeral home was accepting bodies for cremations but we found this place that charged us $700 more than average but we were desperate so it was ok. They told us she would be cremated in a week and that never happened and we had to hunt them down for answers after we paid them. Mike was ignoring all calls so we had to show up for him to continuously change the date. So after about a month she was supposed to finally be cremated but after 2 weeks we still didn't have her remains back to calling and hunting them down for answers and only after we showed up again and threatened to get a lawyer her remains were produced the next day. When we finally received the remains the date of cremation on the box didn't match the date on the death certificate. Loosing a parent during this pandemic has been tragic enough but these people made that process even worse funeral homes are supposed to help bring comfort to grieving families. All these people did was cause us more pain I would never ever use them again even if they are the only place available they take advantage of grieving families by over charging and lieing.

My grandma passed on 4.23.20 and it was a blessing to meet Mr. Ashton telesford and his team who took excellent care of her, even during then covid 19 pandemic. She was treated like family and we are forever grateful

My family and I were devastated over the unexpected passing of my uncle, who lived in NYC for over 45 years. He lived on the upper west side so my family and I, who are from out of town, wanted to locate a funeral home that was close to my uncle's church and home. Unfortunately, we've been through the funeral arrangement process before with my father's passing 5 years ago. We knew we wanted to visit a few funeral homes in person to ensure we were choosing the right place. We first visited Trumbo's as it had amazing reviews on Google. We called in and let Trumbo's know we wanted to speak to someone about arrangements, and met with Ashton. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was not the place. Ashton was kind, but the level of promptness and professionalism was clearly missing. He wanted me and my family to call the cemetery to find out how much opening costs, and details were. When I questioned why he wouldn't do it, as funeral homes are supposed to help families who are grieving, he said well okay I guess I can. Our family is paying YOU, the funeral home, so we can grieve during this trying time. I asked if there would be an online obituary posting that we could share with family and friends to easily provide communication of arrangements - he said no they don't do that. The funeral home itself is extremely outdated, we didn't feel confident in choosing this place to take care of arrangements seamlessly. In terms of caskets, he had a binder of pictures, whereas the funeral home we ended up choosing called Crestwood, had a small room of quarter sized caskets to visually show what we were paying 7K+. Caskets at Trumbo's were actually MORE expensive then Crestwood, which was cleaner, more updated, and professional from beginning to end. The funeral home you choose is the place family and friends will be visiting during the wake, and this place was just incredibly underwhelming for the 4.9 stars google reviews showed.
