Go to the MTA website and look at schedules, just fill in the starting station, then to the station you want to get to and put in the date and time you want to leave and all the schedule info pops up for the prior 2 hours and the next few hours, but you have to go to mta.com
That would be west from Ronkonkoma Station. From Mastic - Shirley you need to take a westbound train to Hempstead or Jamaica then transfer to an east bound Ronkonkoma train.
Take the train in Mastic-Shirley, then get off at Jamaica Station to take the train that goes to Ronkonkoma
The mastic station only has one main track, but certain trains on the line will hit islip.
