The service at this location was fast and friendly. The food was good. My only concern is when I asked for the military discounts which is supposed to be 10%, I don't believe it was applied correctly. Look at the receipt below. When I asked about it I was greeted with a shrug if the shoulders🤷🏾

The service was terrible. One of the waitresses shrugged her shoulders when I was trying to explain to her that part of the order was messed up. I ordered the Cali Roasted Turkey Melt and the picture in the menu and what you actually get are two different things. The picture shows turkey deli sliced style lunch meat. I got a greasy, chopped turkey sandwich with guacamole on it. The sandwich was more of Turkey Cheesesteak not a melt. The lettuce was mushy and their was enough melted greasy cheese on it for an entire middle school lunch. The french fries were sitting in a layer of grease on the plate. I ate half of the sandwich and left the rest. The waitress asked if i wanted it to go. I told her no because it wasn't any good. She didn't offer any apology or anything. She simply took the plate and walked off. My waitress didn't get our order right. When checking out to pay for the meal the IHOP manager was at the register and didn't ask how our meal was. The waitress never once came to our table to ask if we needed anything. We ordered an appetizer to share among three people. We didn't get everything we needed to go with the appetizer and kept having to ask for items. I won't be back to this particular IHOP in Chester, VA.

I have to give props where they're due, I mean it's IHOP their food is ok and not the best. But me and my family come once a month and specifically always ask for Kory. He is an outstanding waiter and we make sure to always ask for him. His attitude and attentiveness alone is why I happily give this IHOP it's full 5 stars. Make sure to ask for him if he's available he will definitely make your visit worth while.
