Picking up where Rottonwood Creek Trail ends, this nature trail just goes in one big loop. But you get some nice views of the Chattahoochee River on the lower part of the trail and can branch off to the quite scenic Akers Mill Trail.

The name is Palisades West Trail but it should say dangerous hike! The pictures online show the beautiful waterfall, bamboo forest and bridge. What they don’t show is the rocky hiking trail and only experienced hikers should attempt.

Nice hike place near Atlanta.

Been here hiking a few times. This trail has multiple access points along the river. It is a moderately difficult trail. Personally I prefer the East Palisades trail than this one.

Most of the trail network is no bikes allowed, especially at the Akers Drive entrance. And a lot of it is very deeply washed out and rutted. But there are some lengths of road-like trail that are not blocked off to bikes at the Cobb Pkwy entrance.
Walk through the water but understand that it's cold 😨😫😫
