We weren't allowed to shop here because we didn't have masks. And the mean old guy who threw us out didn't have any. I guess he doesn't need the business, although there were no customers. I haven't brought my mask with me anywhere for months. And no one in Decatur wears them, so I don't get it. Oh well.

Excellent source for CDs from all genres. Staff is knowledgeable but not intrusive: ask for help and you'll get it, but otherwise you can browse and listen as much as you want on your own. If you don't see it, they can order it. Also have vinyl, but I don't use them and so don't have a sense of the selection. Enjoy!

I have never seen a brick and mortar store with a jazz selection this good. Just a shockingly amazing selection.

I almost forgot to write this review. I went in here a couple of weeks ago for the first time. The man behind the counter was so FN rude. He was holding a lengthy conversation and didn’t acknowledge us when we came in. Not even surprised. My mom started looking through a container of vinyls we didn’t know weren’t marked for sale yet. They were in the same area as records that were for sale. Let me remind you, the man didn’t speak to us at all prior to this. He literally looked over to holler at us to not look through those records because they weren’t for sale. We had no idea. It was so rude! I immediately walked out. He tried to make up for it but it was way too late. Never going back. Worst customer service.

I think they will be as fair as possible with you without shooting themselves in the foot. I have first hand experience in telling you CDs are slow, slow, sellers. Not many carry value either. Some dont sell at all. They take a risk buying at all. If your alternative is trash, sell them what they pick out and take the rest to a thrift that funds a charity you believe in
Barbara, we're always interested in taking a look at used LPs. We typically ask that you bring them by the store and drop them off for us to look at, which takes us a few days. The prices we pay depends on what the titles are and what condition they are in.
Yes. Bring them in and drop them off. They call when finished
The store is closed, you can only order online or over the phone
No. They only sell records and cds.
They'll look and take ones they think will resell and treat you fairly.
Yes, we carry new releases and reissues of a wide variety of different artists, including many contemporary R&B artists.
I haven't consigned CDs there yet. I can say that the staff is very fair and does their research on the true worth of any item in there. However I do imagine it would depend on the artist and the genre and how common the CD is. I know this doesn't exactly answer your question but I wanted to at least let you know it's worth a shot going in.
