Alta Behavioral Health does NOT care about their patients' mental health or customer service. I can tell you first hand, they are just interested in making money off patients' insurance. Very disappointing when your child cannot get care.

Alta is one of the best children's mental health agencies in the area. The care they take for every child is beyond amazing. If you're looking for any behavioral healthcare for your children or family, I highly recommend Alta.

Our counselor is amazing. She has worked with my autistic son for 8 years now. The staff is friendly and willing to help. There are services available to help you with your child's school, to be your child's advocate. They have programs like camp challenge for the kids, the teen group, the gardening group, etc etc. Worth looking into. I would give it 5 stars, but they still have Dr. Fickter here. He is the only downfall to this place. He lets you sit in the waiting room for hours! Then, when you see him, he doesn't listen and is condescending. Everyone else i have ever dealt with here has been wonderful.

No point in making an appointment you end up waiting an hour or more past your appointment time.

Idk what healthcare you have, but most are updating and adding this coverage because MEDICAID just added lots of behavioral health. Medicaid and Medicare are the bases of all insurances. (i.e. The others have to AT LEAST provide what they do.) Call them. They are very friendly and willing to listen and help. However, I would use any other provider here over Dr. Fickter. He makes you wait for hours in the waiting room and doesn't really listen to your concerns. Marc is fabulous and works hard to help you child. They have great counselors, and have access to many programs. It is most definitely worth making the call to see what they can do to help you. Good luck!
