Beautiful place. Had a tour, it was awesome . The Martha Washington OES Chapter fed our group. What a delicious meal.

Very cool experience!!!!!!!!!! Would always see this place but never knew what it was. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered my question that I had about George Washington. On one floor (of the Masonic) it reminded me of that old school game show "Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego", where towards the end of the show the contestant had to run to different podiums and answer different trivia question's about history that was spoken about during the segment of the show. Only in this place and on that one particular floor at each podium, you read about the different artifacts about the history of being a Mason. In fact the tour guide looked like one of the squadron leader's from that show "lol". Also at the end of the tour you got to look out from the observatory deck, which was very spectacular!!!!!!!!!!

It is a beautiful building! I wish that their security personnel we're a little less aggressive and rude. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
There's a ramped entrance on the side and more throughout the building, with elevators taking you up to the other floors.
The color represents the temple's color. This temple's color is purple. From masonicdictionary.com: "Purple, being a mixture of blue and red, is, to the Mason, the symbol of fraternal union because it is composed of the color adopted for the Master Mason's Lodge and that adopted for the Chapter of Royal Arch Companions, these two Masonic bodies being indissolubly connected since the Royal Arch is an essential and component part of the present-day mutilated Master Mason's degree. For this reason purple is adopted as the proper color for the Mark, the Past, and the Most Excellent Master degrees, to symbolize the fact that those degrees connect the Master Mason's degree with the Royal Arch."
Nothing to pay if you dont go inside
Not on Labor Day itself, but the rest of the weekend we will be open normal hours.
The value of the ticket is $20 per person. There are no entry restrictions for children, only if you want to take the tour it takes 1 hour and depending on the patience of the child, they may or may not get bored.
Call them. They would be happy to help
Its undergoing restoration right now, so some exhibits are limited.
