We need more information. What kind of lung cancer is it? Is it small cell or non small-cell? And if it is non small-cell is it an adenoca? It is true that there can be just one spot in the lung but it can metastasize to the liver or even to the Bone or brain and other areas. However to determine what kind of treatment is needed, more specialized test should be run from the lung or the liver biopsy that was done. Was she a smoker? This will play an important role. The test is to find out if chemotherapy can be avoided and instead give her targeted therapy, which for lung cancer in these days it is just a tablet and if the test is positive for this particular defect, then the medication will work and we may be able to get her out at least 2 years or so if she responds. With chemo she may have about 6 months to an year. Again at this point one cannot say chemo is the only choice. More specialized test needs to be done from the biopsy. Contact for more questions.
Taussig Center has valet parking, also patient transport by wheelchair to your doctor's office.
I'm sure they can
I suggest you start here with your question about mds. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/departments/cancer/depts/leukemia
I'm not 100% sure but if I had to guess I would say they definitely offered everything to do with immune chemo and any cancer at all. Staff doctors everyone down to the schedulers in the meeting its are absolute Lifesavers they have done so much to help me with every problem I face minor and like threatening. I'm sure anyone who has ever been treated at uh that switches to Cleveland Clinic would agree with me that you eat is shotti outdated and unreasonable big headed doctors are not realistic and not interested in helping you work hearing anyone they want to keep you sick so they keep their jobs and care more about pushing prescriptions and treatments that maybe I needed just to fill some sort of quotas. Infusion therapy hey uh consists of a large room with multiple chairs usually all filled a small box TV with 3 station choices Windows blinds and windows that do not open no snacks drinks or any convenience items offered and worst part is a shared bathroom at end of the hall that you
Yes. In front
I don't think the two have ever been related. If you need cancer or heart care Cleveland clinic is definitely worth the drive
Yes you should, get to the clinic ASAP......
Go to the Cleveland clinic main campus. That's where the cancer center is.
Just call the Cleveland clinic operator and they will direct you to the right department.
I would recommend scheduling a consult with on of the doctors at the Tausing Center. They will go over everything about both treatments with you. They are very up front and will not leave you with any unanswered questions.
Just bring to the information with you. They will take it at the check-in desk.
I dont know if they treat lupus. I'm sure there is a department within the Cleveland Clinic that treats it. Dr. Robert DeBernardo.
Hope Lodge is one place to stay. You pay nothing. You have a private room with 2 double beds and private bath. There is a kitchen if you want to prepare your own food and a dining room. You can use a shuttle bus to go to the hospital.
a benign tumor of connective tissue containing mucous or gelatinous material
Yes they do provide transportation to and from your home, but it must be setup in advanced via your Dr, or at least my Dr did it for me.
You're probably referring to grade 4 glioblastoma multiforme. If that is what it is, it is the most aggressive form of this cancer. I need to know the size of the tumor. I'm not sure whether 99% removal is possible. Even so, the risk of recurrence is very very high. He will need radiation after the surgery. He probably will also need medications chemo plus-or-minus newer targeted therapy. For this grade of the disease no matter how the response is initially, the patients May survive one to two years. Sometimes this is being generous. Good luck.
The answer is not a straight forward one. It depends on what the autoimmune condition is, How active, aggressive is that condition, what stage is the colon cancer, what chemo is going to be used etc.. Good luck !
Yes, CCF treats Hepatocellular Carcinosarcoma. Yes, Medicare with AARP UHC is accepted, I believe. Second opinions are given.
