I had a consultation for botox and potential getting filler. I was asked to pay $100.00 prior to the appointment. BIG MISTAKE!! I paid. Don't do it!! Rule to live by, if you can get a same day appointment as a new client... that medical provider's services might not be in high demand. Be patient wait on the doctor that takes a little while to be seen. Long story short the doctor at About Faces told me I need some form of a"face-lift" to repair my face. Or I need lots of fillers and botox. I felt like she was a sales person. I decided then I was not interested in using her services but still finished the consultation. I went to the front desk after our conversation to be checked out and the receptionist was ready to schedule the "face life." Pretty much saying what date next week should I schedule you for the face lift... what? I felt like he was using high pressure sales tactics as if I would consent to a procedure I don't need. I told him I needed to think about it and left. I scheduled another consultation with Virginia Center for Plastic Surgery in Springfield for three days later to discuss the potential fillers and botox. I did not have to pay for the appointment before I was seen by the way. They were very professional and listened to what I wanted then made reasonable recommendations. They recommended one syringe of filler and a third of the botox recommended by About Face. At the end of my appointment I informed them of my conversation with About Face and they were in disbelief anyone would think I needed a face lift muchless recommend it. I had one syringe (total) of a filler, opt for no botox and walked out feeling satisfied.
