I've been flying here for 20+ years. It's a great field. I want to address the FPV issue. We had to stop FPV due to the fact that someone decided they needed to fly their FPV near the WSSC building and look into conference rooms. It may not have been someone from our field, but in order to keep our field from closing, we stopped FPV. The majority of us do not fly FPV. Sorry that the FPV flyers are not allowed, but unfortunately some FPV flyers have ruined the hobby and put other flyers at risk of losing their places to fly by flying FPV where they really shouldn't be flying (i.e. airports, government buildings, peeping in women's houses etc).

Always a fun time at the flying field! Locked gate, but Free State Aeromodeler (FSA) Officers and/or club members are generally there 7 days a week after 9 am.

I can't believe a remote control flying park calls FPV "unnatural", because piloting a plane via remote is natural, LOS like the gods intended us to fly RC. I hope this place shuts down so a reasonable park can take its place, find somewhere else to fly!

Very nice

FSA is intended for RC model airplanes and similar devices. It requires a membership, though we welcome visitors who want to watch. Kites would not be appropriate.
Yes, as a non-member, with AMA, and FAA, you are allowed two visits to the field to fly. Afterwards you need to become a member. If the gate is open that is. If it is locked you need to wait for a member or come back when it is open.
