We had a horrible experience at this venue. I specifically asked for separate checks for our party of 6 but once the bill arrived, they told us they don’t do separate checks and if we want to use separate credit cards, we need to split the bill equally among us which is not only none sense but unfair to the ones who ate & drank less than others. When we asked to speak to the manager, he came to our table and I mentioned that I requested separate checks when we made the reservation, he said he failed to see that part in my reservation. This is a failure on the manager’s side not ours. Then he said “ok, you can each pay for your own share”. When one of persons at our table mentioned that it’s easier to just run the bill separately for each party, he said “no, you need to use your calculator to figure it out”. It was poorly managed. And, it took 30 minutes for them to run the bill again, but still not separate checks. Just how much on each credit card. This experience turned our whole evening into pure headache and every one of us were agitated. We asked the manager’s name (he said his name is Nick) because I wanted to speak to the higher-ups to explain how poorly he managed this situation. Something that could have been easily resolved and much more time-efficient, was handled poorly and left us never going back there to dine.

We set a reservation for a party of 6 and specifically asked for separate checks. The food itself was average, the steak was good, but the fries were badly made. The steak tartare is not a steak tartare, but chunks of meat, good meat, but not in any sense a steak tartare. Our waitress Monia was very good and professional. I can't say the same about the manager Nick. As I said we had asked in the reservation separate checks, but the restaurant does not do that. They have a stupid policy about that according to the manager, even so when I asked for a solution he suggested that I could use the calculator on my cell phone, once this was our problem. What a shame for a manager. For a restaurant that shows itself as a high end with a high price, it shows itself as a low quality management and hardly high end food.

A classic and classical good. You won’t be disappointed but don’t expect something special

My wife and I finally decided to try the Palm on a rare date night where we had people watching our kids. I have no plans to return. I knew what the pricing was like (i.e. extremely expensive) and had high expectations for the service, facilities, food, and overall dining experience. The dining area is an awkward room on the first floor of a corporate building, we were seated in a booth which was small and downright uncomfortable, sitting at a 90° angle. Actually we were seated at one booth it was right in the middle of a lot of traffic and then got reseated at another area. High end restaurants shouldn’t have any bad tables like the first one. The service was rather rough around the edges. At first it was unclear who would be waiting on us and multiple people were taking our orders. But then the person who seem to be our main waiter was somewhat boisterous, would reach across the table, and at one point even gestured so quickly that water flew off his hands and hit me. The cocktails and wine selection was excellent at least. The food was pretty good, excellent steaks and seafood. Pretty typical sides as well like mashed potatoes, and clam chowder for an appetizer, as well as a steak salad. The portions were weird. It’s all à la carte, the mains were pretty small, but my starter salad and our shareable sides we’re both too big. Lastly we couldn’t believe when we asked to take our leftovers home they just brought out a box and left it with us. Not really sure how the palm has been a fixture for so long, but I will say the pricing is on par with capital Grille and Flemmings. The service and facilities are not nearly as nice as the other steak houses in the area though. A huge disappointment. The entire experience lasted less than 90 minutes and we spent $500. For that money I would much rather go to a place like Leberge Chez François, or head into DC for more enjoyable and modern experience at half the cost.

Avoid t shirts shorts otherwise clean comfortable and reasonable
Right - was easy walk through Galleria to Ritz Carlton, Palm next door. Only challenge was locked hotel door! Happily, someone was entering with key card so we followed.
Servers all had proper masks and spacing of tables excellent
