Had just a great time at the Wigwam! It was nice to take a vacation in something other then a typical hotel room. The ownerβs were also amazing; providing history on the creation of these motels and even had a nicely researched binder that had pictures and more facts and even made a fire every night we were there. The ownerβs are so passionate about restoring this village to itβs former glory that it makes it all the more worth it to stay. If you want a historic and unique visit, stay at the Wigwam!

My stay at the Wigwam was wonderful !! I really enjoyed my time around the bonfire that Keith came down and made for us . It was REALLY nice to just slow down and visit with fellow travelers and their families. I had a blast being a 53 yr old Grandma sliding the retro slide with some kids staying there. It just added to my vacation . It was just not just a place to spend the night it was a step back into simpler times and an experience we stopped to enjoy !! I highly recommend staying here !! Will for sure come back and I wish Keith and Megan the best of luck restoring this great piece of Americana!!

We loved our experience at Wigwam Village No. 2. They are in process of updating and remodeling to preserve the wigwams/weepee. Keith (one of the owners) have a very informative talk about the history (highly recommend attending the talk). You can see the enthusiasm and passion he has for preserving the wigwams. I especially like the sense of community that's created and encouraged with the other guests. It's a not to see the kids/families playing together, and talking around the nightly fire. The wigwams are clean, have a/c and heat. Showers are hot, but don't stay in too long or you'll run out of hot water. π I will definitely come back to visit, and look forward to seeing upgrades in the future!

My Grandmother recommended Wigwam Village when I told her we were going to Tennessee and wanted to find a place to stay on the way. She and her sister stayed for a night in the 1960s! I decided to look it up and see if maybe they were still open and running. To my delighted surprise, they were! When we arrived one of the owners sat down with us and we talked for awhile about the history, that was pretty awesome! It is dated, but they are renovating---It was still an amazing experience! He also made a bonfire and we made many new friends that night. We loved it and will be back with our kids!

It closed down unfortunately. Really great Bbq!
We didn't hear any noise. It was a perfect surprise for my husband, too. It was nice and cozy. Quaint and cute. A lot of history in the place, old furniture, etc. Not for everyone, if you have to have luxury, but we loved it. And of course, you're close to Mammoth Caves, Corvette Museum, and the GM Corvette Factory Tour. Have fun!
It has a shower in the bathroom. There was a coffee maker in my room.
The greyhound stops in Cave city. But they dont stop by the wigwams.
It is old looking and a bit run down, I agree with the others that is it about the experience. There is some interesting things to do near there. I'll see if I can add some recent pictures of the wigwams so you know what to expect.
