My favorite place at JMU! Fantastic spaces and equipment, super well-maintained. Staff and student staff are all friendly and helpful whenever I need them. I personally use the hardwood basketball courts multiple times a week, occasionally use the swimming pool, and attended a few yoga classes as well. Other resources that I have not gotten to use but heard great things about are cooking classes, massage chairs, great weight-lifting space/rooms, good running tracks, and of course the infamous rock-climbing wall. Huge shoutout to JMU UREC! Much love and appreciation! :)

Sorry but the previous answer is only partly correct. To go enter you must be a student, faculty/staff or escorted by one of the above. If you are immediately family of a faculty or staff member they can take you in during certain hours.
No, but there is one that's incredibly tall and it lasts for a long time but there is no everlasting one to my knowledge.
