The Dentist and Staff are good, I have never been kept waiting. My issue are. They are out of network. I had some dental work done, paid the bill. Several weeks later I got notice that I owed over $400 dollars that insurance didn't cover. Second time I had dental work done. I paid over $700 a few hours later I get a call saying I owe $380 more

Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, we are not in network with HMO insurances, but we do accept many major PPOs and we even have an in-office benefits plan for those who do not have coverage or don’t have the best coverage.
Thank you for your question, Kevin! Our office accepts benefits from every major PPO company. Give us a call so we can check your individual plan!
Thank you for your inquiry! When a patient gets a deep cleaning, they have been diagnosed with active periodontal disease and have areas of bone loss (deep pockets). Deep cleanings reduce gum inflammation, bacterial count, and remove the build-up above and below the gums. Regular home care and flossing will clean up to 3 millimeters (mm) below the gum line. Yet, with patients who have bone loss, their pocket depth counts are higher than 3mm. This means, anything beyond 3mm does not get cleaned until we do it. For periodontal patients, it takes approximately 3 months to build up bacteria, microbes, and tartar (calculus) again. This is why it is recommended to return back to the dentist for a periodontal maintenance visit--this is a more in depth cleaning than a routine polishing. For patients who have had crowns, bridges, and extensive treatment, bacterial counts are even higher, since there are more areas for microbes to hide. Feel free to call us if you have any additional questions!
