While on vacation we stopped in for Sunday mass. This is a amazing church, the Choir was by far the best I have heard I a while. Very welcoming. Next time iam in charlottesville this will definitely be the church we attend.

Very much uplifted and enjoyed Latin mass. Its been many years since i attended one. I remembered the credo music after 65 yrs. I absolutely love the Vidi Aquam. Wish more parishes would sing it. Would have liked the Regina Caeli 4th century version. They sang a later English version. Anyway wonderful experiences Wonderful

Yes, you can join the church! The office is open 9-3 Monday-Friday. Masses are 8 & 11 am Sunday, and 5 pm Saturday. Call the office or check the website for weekday Mass times.
Hi Carl! I'm glad you asked! Talk to a priest or staff member at your church, and they can walk you through the process. If you don't have a home parish yet, just pick one near where you live. You can talk to someone at Mass, or call the office during business hours. Usually, becoming Catholic includes attending some classes about what we believe, some reading, and meeting with a priest or mentor--but they'll tailor the process to your needs so you can join the Church and receive Holy Communion.
No. Holy Comforter's predecessor was the Church of the Paraclete, erected in 1880 on the corner of Jefferson Street and School Street (now 3rd Street, Northeast). Holy Comforter came into being in the early 20th century. The current Holy Comforter, after several physical building permutations, was constructed in and then dedicated in 1926. It has since been remodeled and expanded.
Holy Comforter Parish does celebrate Latin Masses on Subdays and Holy Days. Your best bet is to contact the Parish office about the possibility of a Latin Requiem Mass for an individual.
Specifically, what would you like to know about the Penecost Solemnity Service.
