A gorgeous riding center, farm, and summer day camp in rural Spotsylvania County, we took our 2nd Grade son here for a week-long camp with some of his friends. Horseback riding, swimming, crafts, and all kinds of other outdoor activities, he loved it! There's an old bunkhouse where the kids can bed down for some rest time after lunch. Watch out for the extremely narrow driveway, though. It's definitely one-way at a time. But the tall, old trees that line the drive would probably make an excellent Halloween drive-thru!

This is an outstanding place for young people to learn to ride. The Staff is outstanding and just good people.

Grew up riding here and now my kids are. It has always been an amazing barn family! Shanna is doing a great job carrying on the legacy with these young riders who love horses!

That's a possibility. Please stop by to visit between 9 and noon on Saturday. Thank you! -Shanna
Well, that depends on how old he is and if he can move gently and not be too boisterous...wouldn't recommend any horse barn if he is younger than 7. I have known the owner, Sean, almost 30 years and I'm sure he wouldn't mind...however I would tell you to keep in mind that it is a place of business and there are daily riding lessons and other things going on and sometimes parking is tight. If he wants to take lessons, there is nobody better than Sean to have as a trainer. Also, maybe consider the summer day camp.
No they are on mon Tues wed Thursday fri sat
We are a lesson barn. But Lake of the woods does trail rides on the weekends.
Bayberry only offers riding lessons. We'd be happy to get her signed up for one!
