I am a business owner of a lawn and landscape company. While doing a commercial property, a rock went flying off the weed eater and struck a car's side window. We found the owner of the vehicle and I told him it would be taken care of. I immediately contacted Glass Doctor, they contacted the owner of the car and coordinated a time and place for the repair. I paid them and they took care of the rest. I would highly recommend them.

Can you cut tempered glass?

Glass Doctor of Jacksonville | Jun 9, 2022

Unfortunately, tempered safety glass, by design, cannot be cut. It is designed to break into small pieces when cut or broken to reduce the risk of significant injuries to the person breaking it. Using safety glass, of which “tempered” is one type, is mandated by state building codes in specific applications like doors, sidelights, showers, etc. Please call Glass Doctor if you want more information on this topic.

Do you replace sliding door rollers?

Glass Doctor of Jacksonville | Jun 9, 2022

Yes! We do replace rollers if needed. Of course, we try to clean the tracks and rollers and adjust first. If that does not work, we will discuss replacing the rollers for you.

Can you buff scratches out of glass?

Glass Doctor of Jacksonville | Jun 9, 2022
Glass Doctor of Jacksonville | Jun 9, 2022

Scratch removal in residential glass and light commercial applications is not a commercially viable solution. Basically, it is labor-intensive and not very successful. Furthermore, if the customer is not satisfied with the result, they are understandably not willing to pay for the time and materials invested by the glass company. Scratch removal and scratch buffing systems exist; however, they are typically only practical in warehouses, industrial, and on larger commercial glass projects. Please call our Glass Doctor office if you would like a more detailed explanation.
