9/15/22- I do not in the least blame the workers at these places. They are no question overworked and underpaid. Which is not a good situation for the residents. They do the best they can, gven what they are supposed to do. When the owners get a good worker, they will work them to death. All the money stays at the top with the owners and management. I know--went through the same thing myself. It is, as usual, management, that needs to be held to account for the way the system is run!! Like all systems that are focused on the bottom line, it is the front line workers who suffer. And, of course, the patients. At present, I am not happy with the care my sister has been getting at this "memory" care bldg. There are too many issues to list. One big one is the fact they are NON-medical which lets them hire care givers and pay them nothing. If they had to hire at least one CNA or NP for each memory care unit. Their patient ratio is terrible: 2 employees to 7-1/2 patients. Even in the memory care units where some of the residents need one caregiver for some of the residents. I am at my wits end on what to do. I have the number for the Obudsman with the Agency on Aging. I need to vent with someone! that is for sure. My sister seems to have gone down both mentally and physically. For the fee they charge ($5,583.00), this is ridiculous.

I have had two individual experiences with this company, with two different loved ones. Both times were very short notice for the help we needed. Both times Beehive was able to step up. We found that communication with the staff was welcomed and responsive. That is a huge key for me. There is no replacement for being at home, but when our loved one had a need, it was met. In fact, the management went over and above for us a couple of times. The home itself was beautiful and welcoming. I have had friends who also had relatives here, and recommended it to me without reservation. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

They give a great sales pitch but never follow through. We were told each house had a cook… they didn’t. My grandmother is diabetic, and her meals did not reflect that. A grilled cheese and goldfish is NOT dinner. When it came to the rooms being cleaned, my mother or I would end up cleaning the room because they didn’t have time. The caregivers are wonderful, just overwhelmed due to being understaffed. The management is awful, unprofessional, and unfriendly. We would ask questions and their suggestion was to leave if we were unhappy. We asked if someone would be able to help my grandmother walk around outside, they said it would be an extra $17, and we agreed to pay it… well they turned around and said they couldn’t do because they didn’t have the staff. They offer suggestions but go back on them when you take them up. Be careful with this location.
