I would warn any out of state journeyman travelers to take extreme caution when talking with anyone about anything in this local because more than likely it's false. Job retention isn't base on skill, ability or any aspect top guys do to stay employed, you will be passed over for someone with a third of your skill. If moving to Washington and depending on these people for work, please, be prepared because when they're done with the empty promises and you have nothing to show, they'll have nothing to say but " sign the out of work list that has 60 guys ahead of you !". I shared this in hopes of saving a union brother or sister from wasting time and being lied to. Good luck !!?

It's another name for your local union (of whatever trade that may be) Example: I am a plumber in local 32.
Go to class apprentice, then trained on job.if you organize in they have journeyman classes to take also.
He must apply in person. 595 monster road in renton. They'll give him an employment checklist on stuff he needs to do. Once he fulfills it, he can do a hands on test and interview. He will then get placed on a list... Depending on what number he landed, will depend on if he gets in right away. However, he can get a job as a helper. He just has to ask about that, and sign the helper list.
