Thank you Dr. Mags and your entire staff for everything. Your compassion and guidance were so appreciated when it came time to free my beloved friend Strudel from this mortal coil. There is only one Dr. Mags and he is the best.

I wish I can give them zero. Lack of professional knowledge and business integrity. We brought our puppy for evaluation of small skin lesion 5 months ago and after numerous sets of antibiotics which didn't help its turned to be a wide spread cancer. They offered specialty consultation when it was too late. Our boy died last week. ANSWERING FEDDBACK FROM CLINIC: diagnostic was offered when it was tooooo late!

Questions & Answers

How do you guys deal with cats who don’t like being around people/are sacred easily? Would it still be good to bring them to the veterinary?

Dr. Mags is EXCELLENT with angry cats. He sees dogs too but has a strange connection and ability to communicate well with cats particularly the nervous ones. He earned himself the nickname around here the cat whisperer!

how much does it cost to put your dog to sleep

Hi Sheila, There are a few different options that are made when it comes to this delicate point of letting our loved one go. Please contact our office and one of the members of our caring staff can explain to you the process and the different options that are offered when it comes to this decision. You can reach someone Monday through Friday 9AM-7PM, and Saturday 9AM-2PM.

Do you spayed dogs and how much is it.

We do spay dogs but we don't do spays in our clinic in Hamden. We are a member doctor hospital with Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in North Haven. This means we use their surgery suites and state of the art equipment for surgeries every Thursday. Unfortunately, this makes our spay a little more expensive at around 550.00. We know price is important so for those looking for something a little more budget friendly we recommend a spay and neuter clinic like Nutmeg in Stratford, CT. Nutmeg (and other spay and neuter facilities like them) just does spays and neuters and can do them for a really great price. If you decide to go that route we do a free recheck 10-14 days after the procedure to make sure everything is healing nicely and to answer any questions you might have. Your first exam here is free so we recommend bringing your little one in for a check up and pre-operative blood work to ensure it is safe to proceed with surgery whichever route you choose.
