We’ve been here many times in the past, always enjoyed it. This weekend has been a totally different experience. We were greeted by a curt staff member, no mask 1 foot from my husband’s face, who informed us our multi step online confirmation and check in were invalid. Then she tried to tell us we would have to check in our daughter as a guest and pay for her, because she wasn’t with us at her the time of check-in. We informed her were well aware of our member rights, and that that was not the case. We finally were able to go pick out a site, and as I started to return to the ranger station to register our site a staff member tailgated me then flew by me in a golf cart, yelling and berating me for speeding. Staff here in the past were friendly and helpful; the change is disappointing and sets a bad vacation tone. They do have a very nice outdoor pool here, although you have to register in advance for a time to use it. They also have an indoor Jacuzzi, which ironically enough even though it’s a small space where you are in close quarters they do not require you to register for. There is a mini golf course, but you have to pay for golf balls. They are advertising 100 campgrounds for $315; buyer beware, your dues skyrocket, we are 20 years in and paid $1700 in dues this year. Sorry to say, I can no longer recommend this campground.

The idea of thousand trails is sound for a family vacation. However as always your experience will change based on the people they hire that you run into at the site. Some employees think they rule the nest and make them selves a pest while others are a treasure.

How much is it

That's a loaded question as they have many plans that change frequently. You must do a cost comparison. The best thing you can do is firstly determine if you plan to use the membership and if so how frequently. Then you need to evaluate the cost by comparing what you have been doing all along to what they are offering. Which ever you choose you will be happy with it if,, you do an honest cost comparision.
