Tons of trails to go and take a walk through, the river is one of of best things to dip your feet in from time to time, playgrounds are well kept and safe, and it always has people there. I take my dog there all the time and everyone is super friendly and the park is always tidy. Recommend it over other Delaware Parks.

There are no rules against metal detecting, However, there are rules against digging and taking things out of the park. All things found should be turned over to the Kent County Parks and Recreation Office (1683 New Burton Rd, Dover, DE 19904)

No ATV use permitted in any Kent County Park.

Is the playground open

Jamie Morris | Nov 6, 2020
Browns Branch County Park | Nov 6, 2020

The playground is currently closed. Kent County closely follows the State of Delaware guidance on public spaces. When the State of Delaware opens its playgrounds, Kent County will likely follow suit.

Kent County recently approved a permitting process for the flying of model airplanes in parks. Flying w/o a permit is prohibited. Check with Parks and Rec office.

Is there a fee for admittance?

I live a short walks distance from the park, would I be able to host a large public event there? If so are their any regulations on what is allowed to be set up, and how it is? Thanks

The only large public event allowed would be a co-sponsored event with Kent County. You mentioned airsoft in a post for Brecknock Park. Again, that would not be permitted. Thanks.

Are you able to reserve a time for birthday parties? I’m not interested in reserving the entire playground! We just want the picnic area by the woods and don’t want other people using that specific area on that day and time.

Kent County does not reserve the picnic areas at Browns Branch County Park.
