I would never stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Hickson TN again. The suite smelled like it had dogs in it before we stayed there. No one ever cleaned our room, made our bed, put out fresh clean towels and wash cloths, or even bothered to take the used ones out of our room. No hair dryer or coffee was ever put in our room. The window curtains were torn down and the bed spread and shower curtain was dirty. The room was dirty and was not cleaned the entire 3 nights that we stayed there. The door key would not work we had to get a new key every time that we left the room. We are IHG rewards clients but now we will question everyone stay at another Holiday Inn Express in the future. This room cost us 500.00 not at all worth the money!!!!!! No clean towels, wash cloths, hair dryer. The Dirty ones wadd as never removed from the room no bed was ever made. This suite Wes nasty.!!!

The early 8:00 not asked for wake up call was not appreciated. When we went down to the front desk and complained about it, the lady justified it by saying that we “her staff” had some confusion and it needed to be cleared up. I mentioned that we would have wished it to be cleared up at or after 9, she made it sound like it was our problem. When we checked out, she said the she wished that the rest of our day went better than the morning had. An apology would have been all I needed to figure it was a mistake. The night before we changed into our suits and went down to the hot tub only to find that the tub had wood decking permanently screwed over the top of it. The hot tub on the hotels web site was the only reason we chose your hotel that night. Not being told about it being closed at reservation time or at check in was a disappointment. The breakfast was above average. The overall experience made me feel like I way overpaid compared to the hotel I found the next night.

Room was alright. Could have been better for $200/night. Upon leaving they are trying to get me to pay for another day that I had assumed was already paid for. Nobody notified me that I wasn't paid up for another day all day while I was there. Spoke to a housekeeper and they didn't even ask if I was checking out. Now that I'm trying to leave they are attempting to extort another day's rent. Called the police and so did I. I thought it was a nice place but isn't the first time I've been totally wrong. If someone had let me know that it was time to check out I would have. Instead they waited until this morning so they could charge me for another day. Seems like a scam to me. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.

This hotel was close to the office for a business trip and affordable. I arrived around 6 and after getting my room I went to use the mini fridge but found it had leftover food and an open carton of milk. After getting rid of the leftover garbage I went to shower to find after i had already gotten in that the bottles of shower gel and shampoo were empty. This location uses locked pump bottles. Overall it appeared bare minimum was done to clean and restock the room between guest and there were a few pieces of torn paper in the floor so the room was not vacuumed. Overall disappointing for what is usually a good brand.
