Beautiful Gothic architecture and stained-glass windows. Great accoustics for concerts. Parking and handicapped access is an issue. Since this is a private school chapel, it does not encourage huge crowds. The school provides very good security for its students and staff.

The music is amazing. Always. Top notch musicians and repertoire. This location is NOT easily accessible to anyone with ambulatory challenges. Restrooms are in the basement with no working access for handicapped visitors. There is NO traffic control. Arrive one hour prior to show time.

Irvine Memorial Chapel is on the campus of Mercersburg Academy. If you go to campus during normal business hours, the chapel door is usually open. There are probably construction photos in the school's archives. It was dedicated in 1926. Not sure how long it took to build.
The chapel is non-denominational, but our school minister is ordained by the United Church of Christ, and the Theological Seminary that historically used some of the Academy's property was based in that tradition.
