Lovely library with wide selection of books, study areas, and not overly crowded! I would reccomend this and have gone with friends!

November 1904 after it was approved by voter referendum in March 1903. Cornerstone laid 1903. The building was funded by a grant from Andrew Carnegie (making this an actual "Carnegie Library." The building was purpose-built as a library and has been in continuous operation as such. This year the library will undergo a renovation to improve accessibility, add public space, and update systems. The library will retain its original "Carnegie charm." Like the Freehold Public Library on Facebook or visit the webpage and click through to the monthly newsletter for updates, or contact the library via phone, visit or email; we're happy to talk about our beloved library.
