I went here today after having problems setting up a mail hold request online. The clerk was very attentive and helpful, even bringing out her supervisor to help me out. I felt like I was in a small town post office, with people giving me close, personal assistance. Much appreciated!

The Lacey office has upped its service! I have been pleased with the speed and efficiency of the staff. Recently I took in a stack of items. To my surprise, the clerk checked all of the zip codes, and corrected three! I also like the system of free mailers which can be purchased when ready to mail. Saves one trip through a line.

This post office is horrible, if I could give it zero stars I would. We pay over $130.00 a year for a po box and they are constantly putting our mail in other people's boxes and vice versa. I mean, how hard is it to put mail in the correct box? On top of that, the customer service is severly lacking, the lines are always long and the parking lot is always packed with a ridiculous amount of traffic. To say I'm disappointed with this post office would a massive understatement..

I've lived in Lacey for 4 years now and can honestly say this is the worst post office in the area. 1. They regularly mark packages as "delivered" even though they haven't been. 2. When you go to pick them up at the post office they conveniently can't find them and won't spend more than 2 minutes looking. 3. Their online "report a missing package" feature is completely worthless. They simply call the Lacey Post Office, ask if the package was delivered, then close the case. So there is no oversight here at all. 4. The Postmaster ignores the phone and emails. 5. There's a window/door for picking up packages, but it was closed more than 3 years ago. 6. There is no special line for picking up packages. 7. Even when the clerks see you have a pickup slip in your hand, you are not given preference in line. You wait like everyone else. 8. Long lines. 9. Way too many business customers demanding hand stamped mail be handled individually by the clerks. (Wait more than an hour for one customer like this and you'll be angry too.) This extends the waits to 2 hours and more. 10. More than 10 times the amount of postal theft of "missing packages" than the other post offices in the area. ***Unfortunately, no one here listens and the Postmaster above this Post Office doesn't listen either. Other post offices in the area (especial Olympia and Tumwater) employ several methods for customers to pick up packages. These include: 1. NEVER marking a package as delivered until it's actually been delivered, so there is some accountability. 2. A special door/window that is open certain hours during the day for people to come and pick up packages. That is it's only function. 3. A special line for customers to pick up packages, even if it's a clerk from the back coming out once every ten minutes to see if someone in line needs a package. 4. Priority to anyone in line with a pickup slip from the post office so they can get their mail and go. ***The Lacey Post Office employs NONE OF THESE. Here's how to get your Amazon packages delivered by a DIFFERENT CARRIER: 1. Call Amazon's customer service. 2. Request that USPS be "deescalated" as a carrier. 3. If they don't know what this is, ask for a supervisor. Everyone in our extended family has now done this and we are enjoying the benefits of non-USPS package delivery right to our door by Amazon. SKIP THE POST OFFICE. They suck.

Yes call Lacey post office and explain it too them they will take care of you
ME TOO AND YOU CAN'T GET CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Have your employer cancel that check and then reissue one. My suggestion either go pick it up, or give them your current address so that it will come directly to you. Also make sure you have a correct change of address form in with your local post office.
No, the only location for passport photos is the Downtown Olympia office.
If they start answering the phone then people will keep calling. They unplugged the landline 📞 in 2007. Smartphones became more useful to the customer than the USPS employees hired to answer phones. Go to the local court house clerks office or any federal building and you won’t hear anyone answering a single phone call. The post office should at least have a automated system that acknowledges your call and can offer some assistance first before transferring you to live help.
Ask the postmaster. I highly doubt he reads these.
Call postmaster its national i think
Ok, terrific. Try putting visible numbers on your house that can be seen day and night.
Just go to the USPS website and then do it online. There is a small fee though for doing so.
Yes that is right that means you have a package out there it's a pretty good plan
Yes they do I believe it is $1
The Dmv doesn't do passports. Was trying to find out which office does it. I think it's the one close to downtown Olympia...
Call the post office and contact anybody you're expecting mail from; it might go back to them.
Sadly this is common. Check with the main office and report this to the companies you're ordering from, if it's personal mail make sure that everything is insured. =\
They're desperately understaffed and the management is bad. Also, a lot of their equipment was taken. The few people there are trying... But don't count on them. If you have a lost package or other mail, try the main office downtown.
Take the bus to the post office. Get a friend to give you a ride.
Yes. Not very efficiently, accurately or routinely though.
Depends on how it was sent. Your question is a little vague. Perhaps more details would help. Do you mean stop service?
