The safe house for women here is horrible! Please don’t go there, find a different shelter unless you have no choice, I watched them mentally damage and target most of the females in there including me, they used everything I told them happen to me to get in there against me, then they are so nasty towards some of the women’s kids in there it’s sad, I also watched them kick a mother and her kids to the street just because they felt she “lied” to get in and she was there less then 24hrs, then they kicked multiple other girls out for “lying” about needing shelter as well. They don’t help you in any way like they say they will either. This whole program is sad, so so sad, I’d NEVER go back!!! No stars for this place!

This is not the actual shelter
I am sorry to hear this, unfortunately, I am not affiliated with , nor do I have any special knowledge of this organization. the best advice I can offer you ma'am would be to contact the police if violence is eminent or happening, that is an emergency and is never okay. you should contact social services or escarosa I believe it's called, for the information you requested. if not any escambia police officer or fire station should be able to get it for you I know it is hard to know where to turn or who to trust, but they will help you. I will make a few inquiries in the morning of you wish for you. I hope all is well tonight and your safe. God bless.
Not that I've been aware of.
No pets, women, men, etc no pets. Spaces are so limited at these shelters because if covid. One shelter that can welcome more than 12 are taking a max of 8-9 children are allowed.

Hello I went to school with someone who had intelectual disabilities but at the time in our country she was not referred to special ed and she didn’t have an IEP. She is now 47 years old and lives with a boyfriend that abuses her . She can’t find a job because like I said she never received any help of a special education program that helps her find a job and get help . She wants to leave her boyfriend house because he is mental abusive . Can someone give me some ideas or resources or places where she can move temporary and then get help to get a job
