I have been going to Orange theory for quite some time now. Joined in 2015, had to leave due to health issues in 2017 and rejoined in 2022. I understand companies have policies in place to run their business and I do my best to abide by them. Staff members in the past in this location have always been accommodating and considerate with regards to the canceling 8 hrs before class time policy. On a Tuesday I came across a very intimidating staff member when i called around 3pm at the Ahwatukee location who threatened me by saying she will be remarking my account as a warning since I did not cancel before 8 hrs. I did not say anything back as I was in pain and wanted to be removed from the class. She kept me on the phone lecturing me how I was an inconvenience to others who needed my spot especially when i said I was unwell. She also wanted me to explain my health issue explicitly which I was not comfortable doing. Every time I have attended the Tuesday class, it has never been full. So not sure who I was inconveniencing or whose spot I was grabbing. I understand that cancelation policies are put in place to run a business but life happens and if someone needs a out, give it to them especially if it is a health condition. Not sure if she was new to the customer service industry or someone who was on a power drill of being the one person who could remove me from a class without losing it. However, she definitely needs some serious training on how to speak to customers in a considerate tone and not threaten them. I have attended classes in the past and quite few times had to leave it half way due to my health knowing that i will lose the class. I have no control on when my health matter takes over my life. I am not the one to write reviews but this needed to be brought up just so this staff member realizes being a little considerate goes a long way in life. She sounded someone who was new to this location and someone who just wanted to show her power. Dint quite catch her name and wish I did. Dint think of this place was where warnings are given as a threat. I hope management ask her to take some serious employee consideration training.

My coaches push me to always achieve better. On my own I didnt do near as much as I needed to in order to see change. I was afraid I couldn't do it. 3 months later I know I can do it! I'm psyched!!! Thank you Coaches @OTFAwhatukee!
