I was initially drawn to the Lamb of God church by its location; sitting atop of a hill overlooking Ahwatukee, South Mountain and the Estrella Mountains. It is a beautiful church with a beautiful view. It seemed like a place where God would be. I drove by the church twice a day for many years, going and coming home from work. I often thought, one of these Sundays I will stop in for a visit. I was raised catholic, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I finally mustered up the courage to show up one Sunday. The people were all very friendly and welcoming. I’ve been a member ever since. Pastor Koepke is fantastic! He is very relatable, and his sermons always leave you enlightened. On most Sundays he starts the service by saying, “welcome to God's house.” What a great way to start and a reminder of where you are. It always makes me feel welcomed! Come for the view, stay for the Word and the people!
