If you love someone and expect them to recover at this facility forget it. Rehab is a joke, nursing care is a joke. Try to find a nurse or staff member without it becoming a scavenger hunt. Rooms are dark and dingy and the one my husband was in had the ceiling tape coming loose over his head. Please don’t attempt to use the call button, no one comes. Please don’t try to complain to anyone in person or phone calls, they don’t respond. This is a place where people go to die because it gives you a sense of despair.

Very nice staff and appearance, but no therapy of any sort for first 40 hours in this case. Covid precautions may be restricting some amenities right now.

OMG, where do I begin! Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation we feel for the team here at Life Care Center of Scottsdale. Mother is 97 years old and broke her left shoulder and left ankle as a result of a fall. Starting with Sergio who made the first positive impression by not only giving me a tour but then showing the facility a few more times for additional family members as well. He was very informative and professional. CNAs- Valet and Melinda treated my mom with utmost care and respect, while helping mom Bertha, they showed and taught her how to help herself on a daily basis. They were patient with her hearing issues and accommodated our requests for changing her clothes daily and keeping her clean and well fed. As a daughter, they answered all my questions to help me be a better helper as well. Nurse Cindy- Cindy demonstrated care and professionalism when I asked for mom's updates or when I had special requests for physician requests. Cindy was always available to assist the CNA when needed to transfer mom to the wheelchair or bathroom. Physical Therapists- Jessica, Paige and Martha. What a team! They demonstrated patience and encouragement to help mom stand on one leg to build her strength, to move her muscles and joints on both sides of her body. They let mom rest in between which was most appropriate for a 97 year old woman. They also showed me exercises I could do with mom in between. I learned so much as I observed the PT and OT and the importance of small stretches. Of course, they were so welcoming and friendly to our family as well. Case Manager Marcela Bolanos Marcela met with me several times throughout the 4 weeks. She first help me understand the communication process between LCC and Cigna, and we met weekly. Marcela was so instrumental in obtaining physician statements required as a result of mom's fall. She returned my calls, met me in mom's room and emailed me to stay in touch. She demonstrated very good listening skills during times of my lack of understanding. Receptionist- Christina was a breath of fresh air as I entered the center. She greeted me by my name everyday, asked about my mom, passed messages to me, delivered flowers and was so very reliable with information. She's the Director of First Impressions for sure!!! This is the team that enabled mom to heal her body and soul after a traumatic fall, words cannot express my deep and sincere gratitude for the impact they made on our family. I tell everyone, that this is the place to be!!!! As a side note: Mom Bertha loved the red chile enchiladas for dinner, they had an authentic taste, like homemade. Thank you, Sergio, Valet, Melinda, Cindy, Stacy, Marcela, Jessica, Paige, Martha and Christina! You're the best team ever!!!! With deepest gratitude, Sonja Mazon Rubalcava

They should change the name to the "Don't Care Center of Scottsdale". I had to ask to have the blood cleaned from the floor multiple times, I found a pill on the floor and another that wasn't administered. My father was there for over 2 weeks and I made multiple requests to speak to his attending doctor that went ignored. If you want to send someone there make sure it's someone you detest.
