They have organization skills at this DMV! Having moved from LA to WA, I was a little nervous for how the DMV was going to be in this state. I was absolutely blown away by their ease, professionalism and promptness. My license transfer from Louisiana to Washington was about $91. If you are moving from another state, please have your current ID, your address, your SSN and payment (check, card, or cash). If you are going for a REAL ID, you must have two pieces of mail with your WA address on it as proof. I brought in my Louisiana license, passport, social security card and one piece of mail in case it was needed, but they only needed the license at that time. I'm eager to get my new ID so I can go back in and get my Real ID to fly in the next year!

Omg! Walked in, gotta number, was called immediately. Not even time to go to restroom! New building, NICE restrooms!

We didn't have an appointment but the greeter got us in very quickly and provided us a ticket with only 2 patrons ahead of us. The lady who helped us was extremely friendly and got things done quickly and professionally. It's was an overall easy and happy experience. My son is on his way to driving! Wish I remembered her name for recognition

The Greeter at the Door was courteous and kind enough to take me inside right away, even though I had about 30 minutes until my appointment time. A Sanitizer Machine was just a few feet inside and customers are required to use it. Chairs are a set 6 feet apart for Social Distancing. I was called to a window pretty fast! A duplicate file problem occurred while the agent (nice, middle-aged, Asian Woman) checked my name - she asked if I had changed my name lately. But I haven't done so. The Agent a had to go in the back & call their headquarters, I took a seat. Upon our return to the window/counter, she informed me, "I can take your picture now". "Our old system easy matching with our new system, only headquarters can change it". I'm glad that God put everything in order, because I thought some fraudulent person was using my name.

20$ for ID or license replacement. DSHS voucher reduces cost of ID to 5$, no voucher program for driver license
Enhancements to the license or an ID is pro-rated at this time at $4.00 per year. More information can be found on our website @ dol.wa.gov
I need to renew my drivers license. How do I do that?
It's not much help but their open Monday at 8:30 you could call abs And ask I've got to for my daughter to. Good luck:) and God bless✝😇
When I got my first ID at 18 (now 24) they required 2 forms of Identification. Namely, I used my birth certificate and social security card.
Your old expired drivers license is preferable. Otherwise, any picture ID and a birth certificate will work.
No, you have to make an appointment at this location. I was just there yesterday!
Dol.wa.gov
Did they take their driver's test already?
Expired out of state license means new written and road tests. Manuals are online or you can get a free copy at the DOL office.
The Lacey Driver Licensing Office is not open on Mondays. Our hours are: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Thurs from 9:30am to 5pm. Sat from 8:30am to 2:30pm.
Your license renewal fee depends on the type of DL you have.
Yes
So that's means i can still keep The old one With a Punch on it? like the way on the old location? this one is a new location
You need an appointment, you can schedule one on the website and usually get in the following day
For me, I believe it was around $250 total, but I think they might also base the prices on where you will be living in WA.
No, they will mail it out later.
Any dmv office depending on your location check before you go some do not open on Mondays.
Not sure, I would call to make an appointment, and if none needed... you could find out then.
On their website you would be better off walking in it's usually pretty quick
$4 per year
I didn't need to make one for when I went, so my guess would be no
License from Texas, social card, mail with your address like utility. Have to go to the website to make an appt. First time you have to go in in person. After that it's pretty much online use. Get the driver's manual for state. You need to know hand signals and there are a lot of driver vs. bicycle rules to know too. Office is friendly and clean. There is a worker outside who gives you a number. They were calling me to the window AS I WALKED IN THE DOOR. When does that ever happen????
Do you have veiled license in the other state? If you do can transfer it to here and take a written test or just do a ride and driving test for this State... if your license is not veiled in the other state you will have to clear it up be for you can get it up here
No, but it's quicker if you do...
I think you just go in I would call
If you are doing a transfer of license from one state to another..no test is needed. But if you never had a license I believe you do have to take the written test regardless of age.
If your license is current and you're at least 18 yrs old, it's $89 for a standard license or $113 for an enhanced license. Both are good for 6 years. The enhanced license allows air travel within the U.S. as well as re-entry from Canada, Mexico & the Caribbean.
It is by appointment only. But it is alot quicker than before. In and out probably 5-10 minutes.
You can get your new ID & new picture, but there's no way to do the DSHS Voucher online. I tried that and found out it wasn't happening. You will have to schedule an appointment to go in and get your new ID like I did.
I don't know how reinstatements work.
The current price is: $54. To renew the Enhanced Driver's License: $78.
719 sleater-kinney rd suite 108, lacey. Wa. 98503 360-459-6754 It is back behind target, in the strip mall with the pet store (pet smart?) Opposite end. Need to make appointment to go in, can't just walk in.
I believe its $25 plus test fee its also depending on part of the County you are taking it
Try calling this number You can talk to a person (360)902-3600
It's not open yet and you'll need an appointment for in person services once it does open. Currently Centralia, parkland, Shelton and every other licensing office within 100 miles has no appointments for the next 30 days.
You actually can. They are not requiring you to do physical with the examiner driving test at the moment. But if you really want to make sure you can always go out and deal with that gov and look at yourself.
Yeah i had the same thing happen to me too....went there cuz google says its open but the business is closed. Google needs to update their information
No. It is by appointment only. dol.wa.gov or call 360-902-3900
Go into a driver licensing office and pay the fees and get your license reissued. You also can try and do it online. dol.wa.gov
You have to make a appointment with dmv in lacey and then they can do it that day. Just had mine done
You have to schedule an appointment, good luck it's a very hard process.
You've got to make an appointment online. Go to the Department of Licensing website to do so.
Go online WA Gov.com
About five to seven business days
Renew it as soon as possible. You have until the expiration date to get it done. If it just says March 2020 you have until the end of the month. Otherwise you'll have a late fee and you'll be driving on an expired license.
Nope. You have to present forms of residence, citizenship, and identity

My experience, about a week.
Just realized that my non driver's ID expired last October but didn't receive an email about renewing. How can I get it renewed or possibly an enhanced one and how much would an enhanced one cost?
No, only you have to get one from Washington just get in their website and they have the information. Its pretty easy
Dol. WA. Gov and sign up for a license express account
Morning, Driver licenses and IDs only at this location. Vehicle licensing is done at any of the many sub agents in town. The licensing reps will have a list of them for you if you need them.
Yes, I used a debit card and had no trouble with it.
No
No
$78 for 6 years. If you're upgrading your license to an enhanced driver's license, it's $4 to $24 to upgrade. $4 per year you have left for your license until it expires. http://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/fees.html
Depends on how busy they are. It varies.
In Washington Drivers Licensing Services you can only get Washington IDs and licenses. If you want an American Samoa driver's license, you'd have to contact a licensing service in American Samoa.
An old driver's license, passport, or state ID. If you don't have any of those, you can use a birth certificate with some other form of identification. You will want to call if you don't have any of those things.
I renewed mine when we moved here 5 years ago and it was $80 and proof of residency, they have a list of acceptable documents at the Washington DOL website
Will just a social security card and bill work? And what bills can i use?
Yes.
This is for vehicle tabs only
As a google guide we review and rate places we have been. Please Google their website for the information your requesting.
Not sure what your asking but if you move yes you need to report that change.
The state DOL offices are closed Monday. Some substations like at Albertsons may be opened but have limited services (tabs/ registration).
what is the cost of the written and driving test
Hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm closed on federal holidays
If your license has been expired over: 60 days, there's a $10 fee to renew. 6 years, you can't renew. You’ll need to start over.
