I am a young Veteran and got assigned to this clinic after moving from Tucson. I never had one bad experience with my primary in Tucson, however I have had nothing but negative experiences at the Gilbert Southeast VA Clinic! First off, the send you 20 messages by phone and text combined to validate your appointment, however if you call to get ANY type of information, you won't be able to get a hold of anyone by phone. I have attempted to schedule an appointment with my primary care doctor several times by phone. I have shown up on several occasions when I have scheduled an appointment and the Doctor doesn't show up. I have to get back in my car after a 30 minute drive without any consideration from the staff at this particular VA Clinic. As a veteran, it is disheartening when you are trying to get assistance or help. It seems the only thing the VA staff cares about is their Fridays and their paychecks.

I am impressed with the Southeast VA Clinic. The internet is full of VA horror stories, but the folks who work at the Southeast VA Clinic are on the opposite end of the spectrum from those tales. I show up early for appointments, and often times, they'll get me in early. Whenever I call with questions, they go above and beyond. Even though their clinic is a bit further from me than the other ones, they make the drive worth it.

Rebecca in the audiology department is very unprofessional and rude, hung up several times when I was asking for assistance. I recommend Shay the manager has some coaching lessons on professional development.

Great service! Every one is so friendly. Everything is clean.

All of them.
They can be two weeks to a month out
Incorrect. The cashier is mistaken if they do not accept AZ drivers license with a Veteran emblem. Issue can be elevated to a manager.
Yes, at this location.
Yes you can.
They send them out to the Denver repair facility. Which does the repair and mails them back directly to you. I used it and it works just fine.
Not sure; but there is a dental area at the VA Clinic, I believe.
Monday through Friday they open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m.
Yes, there is a radiology department at Southeast clinic. No MRI or CAT scans.
Yes we'll take them
100% Service Connected only. Some emergency care provided. Philip PACT team 12 SECBOC
Yes but not from here, you would get a copy of your DD-214 by either going online or writing to MILPERCEN in St Louis Missouri.
This facility is primary care only, general medical care. You would need to travel to Phoenix for specialistsafter obtaining a ref referral from your doctor.
Yes
You get them through the mail from the Denver Acquisition & Logistics Center after you register them.
0600 hrs
Yes but only in the Facility.
Until noon then you must go to your clinic on the 2nd floor. No drive thru at this time.
The lab is open Monday through Fridays until 345. Saturdays until 145. All excluding federal holidays and Saturdays where federal holidays are before or after the weekend
Unfortunately I'm not sure definitely a great idea ! If not maybe a women's shelter with kids ?
Lab I think is open at 6am or 7am, so radiology is probably open around the same time, but at the latest 9am. You should call the radiology to make an appointment or stop by in person if you have difficulty reaching them.
Lab has limited hours on Saturday
Not Monday due to federal holiday. Saturday's normaly half day for labs ( blood draw etc.) Tomorrow not sure.
Yes, I picked up my new hearing aids there about a week ago. They can do hearing tests as well. You can drop off your VA-issued hearing aids there for repair if necessary, but I'm pretty sure they send them back to the manufacturer for any significant repairs, so the turnaround time isn't as quick as we might like. Of course, the same issue applies to the main audiology clinic. Overall, I like dealing with the Southeast clinic much better.
No. Closed on all federal holidays.
No they are closed
Appointment not required. Go around back
I'm not sure. Probably
Yes, you do.
1st floor enter check point turn left then a sharp right turn on your left.
You can get the flu shot from Walgreens too… IDK when that will be
No
Podiatrist is downtown Phoenix V.A. SE does not have a Podiatrist
The Carl T. Hayden (Phoenix)VA does eye exams for this area. The Gilbert Clinic does not.
No ,you have to go thru phx.
Monday through Fridays 6AM to 3:15PM Saturdays 6AM to 1:45PM.

I just spoke to a nurse a week and a half ago and they were just about to receive the vaccine for staff. I'm not sure how long it will be until veterans can get it.
6 am....only the lab
Depends main hospital tempe southeast VA chandler
You most likely will have to go Phoenix VA 7th St. And Indian School. Call to make sure and go EARLY.
I couldn't find exact lab hours for Saturday but I did see that Saturday hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. . Hope that helps if not you can call them at 480 - 397-2800. Enjoy your day
NO
If you are registered with the VA, then go to your primary care provider and thou can get set up for a hearing test to determine your need for hearing aids. They will take it from there. There was no problem getting mine. I love them and they cost me nothing.
Yes it is open on Saturday. I think it opens at 8am.
Yes. Dental sick call sign in is at 12. They do cleanings at SE clinic, but send you out to community dental office for fillings and crowns and to Phoenix VA for oral surgery.
The South East CBOC and Phoenix VA have not canceled any of my appointments. If there is any effect, it is internal.
Call VA and let them know what's going on. They contracted with the Minute Clinic in CVS and the visit may be covered by VA.
They are not, sorry.
Yes. You can walk-in during business hours to inquire, be seen, or make an appointment. For immediate needs call the Veteran's crisis line 1-800-273-8255.
Send it via secure message
Yes and leave them in the bottle. The main lobby has a medication receptacle where they can be deposited.
Saturday by appointment only to see a primary care provider, no walk-in's. So appointments can be made during the week for a Saturday. The lab is open for walk-in's and no appointment is needed for lab draws. All other services are closed on Saturday's.
The Phoenix VA has an in patient alcohol abuse program.
You cannot get a copy directly from this clinic, however there are people there who can assist you in applying for a copy to be sent to you.
I know they have volunteer drivers who are veterans cover but I would suggest that you go in to the VA facility there and ask at the information desk to be directed to the administrator.
No more than cleaning, reprogramming and such. They will send it to the VA Denver Acquisition & Logistics Center for repair if needed. The Center will then mail it back directly to you. I used it twice and it's good.
You must meet all the requirements then you can.
Yes they do. Bot locations have a dermatologist on staff. I know it sounds funny but i think you have to be referred from your regular doctor first.
We go to the clinic in Gilbert. Depends on what you need.
I believe they do.
No, prescriptions have to either ve picked up from the Phoenix VA or mailed to your house directly.
Using the online VA healthcare portal or calling the operator would both work.
Yes
Looking at the reviews it looks like you can but be prepared to wait all day. Same as the Phoenix location.
