I loved Sun Valley when I was a recently saved Christian this past spring. I enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, the people, & the groups at Sun Valley. They really helped me feel at home & to find my footing in my new faith. For that, I am forever grateful. ❤️ I still go to a group at SV (Celebrate Recovery), but I no longer attend church services there. To be honest, this is not a Biblical church. Generally, it's more like helpful life advice with Bible verses thrown in there & lots of the same things taught over again. They also have a lot of Hillsong, Bethel, & Elevation worship music here (if you don't know why that's an issue & are interested, you could do some research about the New Apostolic Reformation and those specific churches if you want. To sum it up, these churches are not biblically sound & neither is their music). At SV, church is less about learning God's word, submitting to Him, & truly praising & glorifying God & more about...something else. They are a seeker-sensitive church, which can be good because it can get people like me through the door of a church to begin with, but it's ultimately not a place to stay if one wants to be truly spiritually fed by God's Word. SV offers watered-down Christianity with no real backbone. I do commend Sun Valley for their outreach in prisons, helping feed homeless people, & the people there are really so kind. I also like how they openly talk about the deception of new age spirituality, which is what Jesus delivered me from. There are pros & cons, but I will say that as I've grown closer to Christ & grown in discernment, He's called me away from SV because I didn't feel the Holy Spirit there. I now go to an amazing Bible church in Gilbert that really feeds me spiritually. It's such a contrast.

IF I could give ZERO I would. This is just a corporation. I'm willing to bet your Pastor gets his insight from Joel Osteen! IF you don't give money to this corporation they can careless! Money Money Money! CHAD MOORE is not a pastor of faith just a pastor of Money Money Money. Give First!

I am a fifty one year old grandmother who was recently banned from all SV locations. I wasn't given a reason. I called a dishonest man in employment there, a liar. I was there for healing. A horrible man who claimed to want to help, lied about everything he said. He insisted i do exactly what he said regarding my own family without even meeting them. As a DV survivor, this man has set me back exponentially. This "Yelp" will probably be used in court but I feel I need to warn people. This is a BUSINESS. They'll call you family but don't believe it. Beware. Should a church cast out someone in need? No. With exceptions, I would say It is wrong and contradicts the Bible's teachings. Kicking someone out implies that they have done some kind of a wrong that, at least to the church, makes them appear as someone who doesn't belong among them. The problem here is that Jesus explicitly says in Matthew 9 that "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." What Jesus is saying here is that Jesus (and likewise, the church) should serve those who need healing, those who need help, those with problems and faults. Jesus came not for the healthy, but for the sick. Casting out members who are doing wrong is the exact opposite of what we should be doing. Those whom we cast out are those who need Jesus more than those who attend church every week. This is exactly how you end up with more people that turn their backs on God, by casting them out! I will note that of course, there are exceptions; People who are openly violent, disrespectful, or otherwise have an intent of causing trouble can be cast out reasonably. Furthermore, I believe it is reasonable to remove a pastor or other figure for not practicing what they preach (such as not committing adultery, but sleeping with another man's wife). Kicking someone out of the church should only happen when deemed necessary, not because church members disagree with someone's lifestyle. Hence why I view it as immoral, wrong, and straight up disrespectful to the Bible's teachings.

Jesus is no longer on the cross. We serve a risen Savior.

Celebrate Recovery starts at 6:45pm on Thursdays. All are invited.
This depends on your teen and your proximity to the location. A teen has to fit with the group and the only way to find that group is to try.
Sometimes he is love but most of the time it's on screen.
