When we purchased our tin via through Stephanie R the salesperson. We told her what specific color we want (It was written on our sample that we were sent) we described the patern we wanted because we told her that was also the pattern they sent us on sample. Stephanie then said I know exactly what pattern you are talking about. After receiving our tin we noticed it was not the pattern we wanted. I then called Stephanie and discussed this with her. She said she needed to talk to her manager and get back to us in an hour or so. Twenty eight hours later we called her back only to be told there was nothing that could be done. Very poor service and very disappointed. I will be sharing my story every chance I get! We trusted this company and spent a substantial amount of money to not get what we wanted.

We had a great experience using American Tin Ceilings! We did not wait long for the shipment, the tiles were very well packaged, and the installation was simple. The final product helped to transform our kitchen to something amazing! Customer service was excellent too… They even applied a coupon that I received by email just hours AFTER I placed the order! Thanks again!

When I had an issue with the tin tile cutter which I purchased with my ceiling tin order, I sent an email detailing my complaint. Absolutely no response from the seller. While my order was not large, there was potential for many more orders. I do NOT recommend doing business with this company.

We ordered the Snap Lock Pattern #2 Bright White Satin American Tin Ceilings for our basement renovation and we have to say our experience was incredible. From the initial discussion with our sales rep, Jonathan, we had all our questions answered and a plethora of information of what colors to use, what patterns would work with our design, and their recommendation for us to install as a DIY project. After they sent us some install tutorials, we took on the job and our ceilings are now far superior to the boring dry wall we had prior. We put American Tin ceiling tiles in our basement which was an unfinished space originally. Now we have a bright space that we look forward to hanging out in and even bringing clients into. The satin finish give the basement a bright look and it even appears to be a larger space now with the pattern on the ceiling. We cant recommend American Tin Ceiling enough and highly recommend to revamp any-sized space. It will completely transform!

Questions & Answers

I am going to build a heat shield for the back of my woodstove, and I need to know if you carry galvanized screws for installing?

Greetings, we do not sell galvanized screws, rather we sell steel cone head nails. For backsplash type installations we recommend using a construction adhesive (like PowerGrab by Loctite) and follow the same instructions for installing backsplashes to install the panels behind a wood burning stove (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_17GNvgDg7M.)

After all of the tiles were installed I noticed quite a few did not lay flat in the grid. Will this problem right itself shortly or do I have to remove the ones that do not lay flat and bend them?

Hello, for drop-in panels, we sell "Drop-In Clips" to secure the panels. Below is their description. https://www.americantinceilings.com/dropin-clips/ DROP-IN CLIPS (50 clips) $6.00 Made from high-quality recycled material, our proprietary Drop-In Clips secure your tiles in place to prevent gaping or movement. Use 2 clips per panel to lock your tiles in place.

Previous owners installed acoustic tile over plaster ceilings in my 100+ year old house. Can I install snap lock tin ceiling directly over this or do I have to remove the acoustic first? Thanks.

Hello, Typically there are wood furring strips behind the old Celotex tiles. If they are set on 12" centers you can install our Nailup panels directly on top. If the acoustic panels can hold a coarse thread drywall screw, you can attach the Snaplock directly to the existing panels.
