Dr. Jen and the volunteers are absolutely amazing! Dr Jen is hands down the most compassionate vet I have ever met! I had never left my dog with anyone before and when I took her in to be spayed, she was sooo nervous! Dr Jen came out and helped calm her down, got her feeling comfortable...that says A LOT about my dog. I wish I could have Dr. Jen as my personal vet as well as the volunteer staff!! THEY ARE SO CARING!

Thank you so much for placing this lovely girl with me. Aquarius (renamed Sabine) is a complete sweetheart and helped fill an empty spot in the heart after losing my long time girl, Cleo. Staff was wonderful.. Supportive and knowledgeable. People that are impatient about the wait period due to covid concerns should really be more understanding. Thank you KHS!

Spent a Saturday adopting our cat. Took about 3 hours from joining the cue to walking out with our pet. Be expected to wait! But that’s okay, they’re making sure everyone is safe during covid. It takes time for each person to choose their new friends. They’re a wonderful local resource. We left feeling informed and excited. Karen was so helpful and made things easy.

It was great except the wait time. But they need to do that now with all the covid concerns. We us to be able to just go in an view the cats and kittens and it was so much easier and did not cost as much. Its getting so expensive, that its no wonder they do not get adopted as fast. But everyone was so friendly and nice, and we were able to adopt two very cute kittens. They did a really nice job. We are very happy

I have a medium doggie door to donate. Can you accept it.
A volunteer with enough hours (50) and the approval of the volunteer coordinator can take dogs on off-site outings, yes!
They have a blue bin out front that you can put unopened bags of food or anything you want to donated
No. They will check up on the non adopted animals, but not an adopted one.
Yes, there is a volunteer application. Please ask at the front desk and they can point you in the right direction.
I think you can
Call them first and make an appointment.
We would be happy to accept the pill bottles & linens...however, we are unable to take the comforter..as the dogs will rip them up and eat the stuffing...thank you for thinking of us for your donation!!!❤
We get new animals in every day...😁...if you go to the web site, check the available animal list....it is updated every 90 minutes
They will try to adopt out your pet, but there are no guarantees and it may be put down
Give your friend a reasonable amount of time (24 hours?) to come get their dog. If they don't show, take the dog to the humane society. They will call the owner and hold for a few days. If they still don't claim, they rehome the dog.
It just cost us 170.00 to get ours out (WAY to much) then we came home and he gave our other dog kennel cough. I also heard it's 500. to adopt now!!! I'm sorry, maybe a go fund me. Good luck
Yes...as long as therebare no holes...or strings hanging off the ends....😁
I don't know the answer to that question... you may want to give them a call and ask that exact same question...
Was it adopted out by the humane society or did the finder give it to someone?
We do have a free food pantry, I do believe they will help with litter as well ...I have not seen free toys tho
Best to contact them directly for the clearest answer.
Contact a veterinarian. If you haven't yet, look in the ears for an ear infection, etc.
Yes you can but it takes patience and learning along with the cat
Would need to ask the people at the humane society to be sure but I believe 18 due to insurance and liability policy
See if the humane society will see him.they. have some help.you can get natural pet meds from a lots of pet stores now.
Adoption is by appointment only.
Their website says puppies up to 6 months are $500. Have a look at the website for more information: kitsap-humane.org
John I believe your toad is considered invasive by the state and even if you were to find a shelter to take him he would be euthanized because if this. Your best bet is to re-home him to another person.
They only adopt kittens by age 2 months at the earliest. That way they are weaned from their mother and are spayed/ neutered.
200 for a kitten, it's less for an adult
You can view them on the website I think
I'm sure they put an animal down if they have to. That is not thier goal they try to save the animals but there are always the cases they cant . Now if you are talking your personal pet if you have to put them down please take them to your vet you can be with them and show that love til the end.
Animals are only euthanized if they medically have a poor quality of life or behavior- they are a danger to the public. Animals are not euthanized for space.
yeah I'm pretty sure they fix all the animals, andif you really want to know look the number up for Kitsap humane society and they'll be more than happy to tell you
It varies on what is available for adoption at the shelter. Tea cup puppies are not very common at the shelter.
did you get the record of the dogs breed and general health of the dog if you did the best thing to do and ask them if they can do the shots there or what you need to do to get them or call the Kitsap humane societyand ask them otherwise I think you would have to find a veterinarian I hope I answered your question in a way that it had can help you in some adult I've told you what I know and hopefully it does so good luck
I'm sure you can. I betting they would love it. Sorry for your loss
Fiola Lynn could you show us an ad your advocating as Hate and how it's posted by employees of Kitsap please... Just cut and paste it....
Watch the website as sometime they have guinea pigs, sometimes they do not.
The Web site can answer any questions.
The Humane Society is not Animal Control, you need to call Animal Control. They generally do not charge you for removal of animals that are not yours.

Call police
They don't take any open food, sorry.
Its a owner surrender which is 50.00
You can go in or call.
No it's not
I think they do, but you should call them. They don't monitor this thread I don't think.
Yes they do. As long as the items are clean.
Yes, laura is correct. Please report it to the HS via website instructions
Looks like they can house about 40 or 50 dogs there. Maybe more if they double-up in some of their dog cubicles.
They take all kinds of animals.
A less the dog was surrender would information of its breed yes. But if they find the dog as a stray or anything like that no. Also, you can take a DNA test at the vet i believe.
If they have the cat, you'll have to show them proof like Medical records.
This sounds like something you need to discuss with your veterinarian. Good luck.
I’m pretty sure that they do
The humane society is not going to help with that. You need to call an exterminator or a bee keeper who will move them.
I believe they do by appointment
The animals available vary, but you can call or check their website.
Call West sound wildlife rehab
They are included in your adoption paperwork.
This is probably a question best asked on social media
If you call Animal control they will most likely put the dog down after about 2 weeks. Also, yes they do pick up strays anytime.
Science diet
There's a no kill shelter in Poulsbo. Not sure of name or location. Google no kill shelter in Poulsbo.
Oh yeah, pretty sure they will accept just about any mammal. Maybe not an elephant.
Call first but late afternoon
Stray animals have no charge, and can be brought in 7 days a week from 11-4. Owner surrenders (your pet) have a surrender fee and you have to make an appt.
I recommend you call a vet.
