My mother in law had a broken tooth, they were able to get her in for an appointment in just a few days. When we arrived, the office was clean and the staff was welcoming. My MIL has dementia, so I had to fill out her paperwork for her. I also had my 6 month old son with me. Of course, my son started crying and I was about to just leave when a young lady from behind the desk asked if I would like for her to hold him. She calmed him down and I was able to finish the paperwork. The dental assistant was very patient with my MIL and explained everything that was going to happen and asked if there were any questions before proceeding to the next step. The dentist was caring and patient as well, never seemed flustered even when my MIL was being a little difficult. Before the procedure they were upfront with pricing, asking if it was ok to proceed. I work in the medical field and have unfortunately had several instances dealing with doctor's offices, emergency rooms and hospitals in the last 6 months and they were all awful. But I cannot say that about Sumter Value Dental. They are what a dentist's office should be. Calming, compassionate, caring and patient. I cried leaving just because they were so nice and made my life easier.
