2022 Summer heat and bike riding makes SCG and it's many miles of tree canopy a joy to ride. Parking lots open @ daybreak and the entire 32 miles can be completed before it gets too hot.

Awesome place for a pave bike ride on a constant speed. Lots of shades and trees.

Has the best trail for biking in North Houston or perhaps the whole city. Several parks exist for getting quality outdoor time. I will be coming back many times.

Metal detecting is permitted only in parks that do not border Spring Creek or Cypress Creek, in order to protect cultural artifacts. Permitted parks for metal detecting are: Bane Park, Doss Park, Dyess Park, Independence Park, Lindsay-Lyons Park, Matzke Park, MUD 257 Park, and Mulrooney Park.
It depends, the creek is always changing.
Portions are yes. From one of the parks along the multiuse trail. The horse trails wouldn't be accessible.
