I could not recommend anyone better than Jenna at Bayview for all of your skin care needs. I have seen her for multiple services and I leave with my skin feeling refreshed and beautiful every time. Whether it be facials, a new skincare routine or even just good conversation, I know that Jenna has my back.

Awhile ago I got a rhinoplasty from a facial plastic surgeon in Seattle and was pleased with the results and recently decided that I wanted to get a tummy tuck so I needed to find a plastic surgeon that offered body contouring. I live in Seattle and searched and searched until I came across Bayview Plastic Surgery and Dr Michael Cohen in Gig Harbor. GIg Harbor is a bit of a drive but well worth it. The medical staff was wonderful, talking with Dr Cohen was helpful in determining the recovery period for my tummy tuck, scaring, what I could expect. My decision to get a tummy tuck has been years in the making but I wanted to do it right and I found the right surgeon and plastic surgery clinic. I would recommend family to him

Dr. Cohen removed my 22-year old breast implants and performed a breast lift, and I am beyond thrilled with the results. My surgery and recovery could not have gone better. Dr. Cohen takes as much time as needed to explain things/answer questions and is very meticulous. My results show both his technical and artistic skills. His staff is very friendly, helpful and responsive as well. I highly recommend them - you will not be disappointed!

From Amy Campbell- 7 weeks post op on my breast augmentation from Dr. Cohen and I could not have been any happier! I am 48 and have wanted this done since my 20’s! My breast were very odd and different sizes my whole life and could never be comfortable with them. I told Dr. Cohen I wanted them to be perfect and he wouldn’t promise but said he’d get close as he could... he delivered! My husband went with me to the first couple appointments and we both liked him right away. He was my third surgeon I’d seen before I decided on him. Dr. Cohen and his staff explained the process and walked me thru from start to finish. I’d recommend him in a heartbeat. I can not thank him enough. Being comfortable and confident in your own skin is priceless. (Side note- using my husbands google account lol)

From what I understand not necessarily. Placing breast implants under the muscle has the advantage of providing additional soft tissue coverage for the implant, which is especially helpful if a woman does not have much of her own native breast tissue. Placing implants under the muscle also has some disadvantages, including more postoperative pain in the first few days after surgery, as well as the long-term “flex-animation deformity” that is almost inevitable with submuscular implant placement (implants and breasts move every time a woman flexes her pectoral muscles). If a woman has sufficient breast tissue of her own, placing the implants over the muscle is a safe procedure that is less painful and that does not have the long-term consequence of animation deformity.
Unlike the silicone implants that were removed from the U.S. market in 1992, all modern-day silicone implants have all undergone rigorous FDA trials for their safety. Modern implants, also knowns as “5th generation implants” or “gummy” implants, are characterized by cohesive gel, which does not leak or “bleed” out of the implant shell. The outer shell of a modern implant is stronger and less likely to rupture compared to the older implants. The outer shells of both silicone and saline implants are made of silicone, which is what ultimately interacts with the patient’s tissues. Medical-grade silicone is recognized as one of the most biologically inert substances; it does not cause the immune system to attack it. To ensure long-term safety, we recommend annual follow-up examinations by a plastic surgeon, as well as an ultrasound or an MRI every 5 years after implant surgery.
a tummy tuck, or an abdominoplasty, typically includes restoring abdominal contour and tone by suturing the abdominal muscles back together, by removing the loose skin in the lower abdominal region, and by contouring the waist line using liposuction. The umbilicus (belly button) is also re-shaped and repositioned through a new skin opening in order to give the abdominal contour a more attractive shape. This procedure is done on an outpatient basis and takes between 2 and 3 hours, depending on patient’s anatomy and complexity of the case. All sutures are buried under the skin and will dissolve over time. A drain tube is placed between the muscle and the skin, and remains there for 7 to 10 days. It is important to wear a compression garment for up to six weeks after this surgery in order to guarantee the best result.
For women seeking breast augmentation and who are good candidates for this surgery, augmentation with breast implants can range from $6000 to $9000 depending on patient anatomy and the type of implants. If a woman requires a breast lift (a mastopexy) along with the implants, both the duration and the cost of the surgery can go up by a few thousand dollars, depending on the complexity of the case. Some women have enough of their own breast tissue where a breast lift by itself is sufficient, which will then cost less than a combined implant-mastopexy surgery. To other women, a “boob job” could actually mean a breast reduction, where a breast lift is an inherent part of the procedure. The cost of a breast lift (mastopexy) and a breast reduction is between $9000 and $12000, depending on the anatomy and complexity of the case.
Muscle repair during abdominoplasty is the number one cause of postoperative pain from this surgery. In order to help with it, I like to prescribe a non-drowsy muscle relaxer round-the-clock for the first few days after a tummy tuck. Once the initial phase of postoperative discomfort has resolved, the recovery involves staying away from heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for six weeks. Patients can drive as soon as they are off opioid pain medications. Most patients will have a drain tube in their abdomen for the first week after surgery. The tube is removed at the office 7-10 days after surgery. Scar care is initiated 10-14 days after surgery.
Typically a mommy makeover is a combination of an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and a breast rejuvenation procedure, which can be breast augmentation, breast lift or mastopexy, a combination of the above, or sometimes a breast reduction; liposuction is frequently also a part of a mommy makeover)
Bayview Plastic Surgery under the direction of board certified plastic surgeon Dr Michael Cohen and Stephanie Ninneman, RN, a cosmetic nurse injector use both Restylane and Juvederm a collection of dermal fillers. When picking which product to use, it depends on many factors including the depth of the wrinkle and the anatomical area of the face where it is located.
