I wish I could comment on your review Amber Adams. My Mom passed away after leaving this horrible place within a week. She was not cared for properly and literally told me that a man in the place called 911 because they refused to give him his medication. She was not given proper support to be able to have proper hygiene and feed nasty sloppy food. It makes me sick. Had I known sooner I would of got her out of this horrible place. It was as if she was scared to speak about it. She had two wound vacs trying to recover from surgery. I wish this place would close for good and be held responsible for the inability to properly care for people. I hope people will take these review serious and NOT put someone you love here ever.

I always believe in giving positive words especially during these times when it can easily go unrecognized. I work for hospice and every time I enter this building, it’s always upbeat and clean. The staff is very friendly and I deal with Jennifer the Social Worker a lot. It is very clear that Jennifer genuinely cares for her residents. She is pleasant to deal with and she always communicates with me very well on what she needs. From a partnering standpoint, I wish every Social Worker was just like Jennifer. The Administrator, Gene, is someone that I have known for years with my tenure in hospice. He is always engaging w the residents and making them laugh. He cares a lot for this building and makes sure there is not even a spec of dirt anywhere. It is always clean and the care here is wonderful. When we place a respite, Interlochen is always our first spot! Highly recommend if you are looking to place a family member.

My dear friend lived at Interlochen for several years and I visited many times. Prior to her being at Interlochen, she had lived at a very fancy and expensive place...until her money ran out. I was very nervous about what Interlochen would be like. Well, no need for worry. The staff at Interlochen were always loving and kind; indeed, my friend preferred them to me, because they were always there to love on and encourage her. I will always be grateful to Interlochen! There is access to a supply of medication for first dosing at the center that is available while new medication orders are communicated with the off-site pharmacy. Recurring prescriptions are filled by the off-site pharmacy for residents. Consultant pharmacists review each resident's medication list on admission and monthly thereafter to monitor each resident’s individual medication regimen and make recommendations to the physician.
