DO NOT USE THEIR RECOMMENDED REPAIR VENDORS Won't pay for OEM glass and aftermarket is not comparable. No accountability with their vendor. Windshield cracked across bottom. Filed online claim w/ Progressive and was referred to Safelite. Reviews looked good so I scheduled service. I was called that the car was ready to pickup and came to get it the next day. I drove about a minute before I noticed multiple obvious scratches on the inside of the Windshield. I also noticed that the new windshield was blurry and letting in a lot more light and heat (and later - I noticed more noise). I immediate got a headache and I never get headaches. It felt like putting on a $3 pair of sunglasses after wearing a good pair. Safelight acknowledged the scratches and agreed to replace the defective windshield but when I respectfully requested a genuine OEM Honda part Safelight told me that would be $502 extra on top of my $499 deductible which I've paid becuase PROGRESSIVE REFUSED TO PAY FOR IT. I've tried to address it with both Progressive and Safelite as my car has not been restored to the pre-claim condition and I've been getting the runaround both in person and on the phone. There is no accountability between these organizations and they send you into an endless phone loop which hangs up on you or takes you back to where you started. I've been back to Safelite and called at least 4 different numbers at both Progressive and Safelite. I've spend hours on hold or trying to talk to a manager or supervisor on the rare occasions when I can get out of IVR hell and finally got a claims adjustor at Progressive who told me that my policy stated they did not have to restore my vehicle but could not explain how the wording in the contract stated that. Today I opened a complaint with the State of Texas. All I want is a windshield of the same quality I had before and I didn't get it. I did get a sub-par replacement with no QC, mostly unhelpful people, and a vendor relationship designed to make it impossible to find accountability. Don't use Safelite if you care about visual clarity or accountability. You are not their customer. Your insurance company is.

Beyond frustrated with this insurance company. Not willing to work with me on a simple issue of removing excluded drivers as of the date I moved, despite my ability to provide proof, via a lease, that I moved into my own place, without the excluded drivers. Despite my best efforts to get a resolution of any kind, management was rude and belittling to me, while telling me it's my fault and they won't do anything to assist. Avoid this company - go anywhere else. I filed a complaint with BBB and TDI. Will also be writing corporate. This company is greedy and doesn't care about it's customers.
