Course was in really bad shape. No cart paths so the “paths” are ruts in the ground that were really muddy. They only have about 4-6 carts so lots of walkers that make play slow. It’s a place I’d take someone who has never played before. I’d also go if I hadn’t played in a while. The cost is kind of steep for what you’re getting. The 4th or 5th green looks like someone took a flame thrower to it and probably needs to be completely revamped.

Definitely always has an open tee time but get there early to get one of six carts they offer to rent out. If I was a beginner, this would be a great place to go, but I am not. Or, if I was a senior citizen, they did have a senior scramble going on while I was there. The place needed mowing and a bigger club house would be nice because they pretty much don’t have one. It it was cheap, cheap compared to other places.

It's a cool place to be. Enjoying the activitys at the center and eating lunch in the park. A nice place.

Me and my buddies first started our golfing endeavors on this course. Would recommend anybody new to golf to try this course out. Very fun and challenging.

Is meadow brook park in Arlington to dog friendly

I played at Meadowbrook for years. About 10 or so years back a beagle pup showed up on the course. At first, we had to set food down and back off before he'd get near it, but a week later he was eating out of our hands and rolling over for us to rub his belly. We called him Bogey. I started picking up and even heating up bones from Whole Foods for him and at least half a dozen of us were bringing Bogey treats and everybody was loving him. The guys who worked there fixed him a spot to sleep in the work shed and he had free run of the entire golf course. You never met a happier dog. Then one day the guy from the pound showed up with that pole with a loop at the end to try to take Bogey. I was at the head of the cheerleading for Bogey not to get caught and the dogcatcher got wise pretty quickly and gave up. But a couple weeks later that loveable dog disappeared and we all missed him. We called the pound every day, ready to bail him out, but he wasn't there. We never saw him again..
