New owners!! This place was pretty alright. Not the best area but not the worst either. The old property manager was great, almost always available when we needed her. But now there is a new owner and a new property manager, I've never met the owner but I've met the new manager once or twice. Oh excuse me what I mean is I've seen her twice the entire time she's been here. First, she is never in the office, and when she is in the office she is hardly a professional. First time she was on the phone cussing and talking about God knows what. The second time she was discussing another tenant on the phone laughing about how the tenant thought they found a bullet hole in their wall. She has hours that she is supposed to be in the office but 9 times out of ten she isn't actually there. She will put up a "be back in ____" sign but when the sign says be back at 12 she won't be back til 2 or 3. You have to pay for laundry and it is actually more expensive then going to a laundromat around the corner. (The machines are also as small as they come. 1.25 to wash and 1.50 to dry) the cherry on top of the laundry bull is that you have to load a prepaid card in order to use the machines. The machine you use to add money to your card is in the office that is constantly closed. You have maybe a 15 minute window per day where the office is actually open so even if you want to do laundry you probably won't be able to. I watched two disabled people wait hours outside her office two days in a row only to give up on laundry and walk back to their apartment. They put new appliances in our apartment and none of them fit. The hood range was gigantic, the oven/stove is too small for the spot so there is literally two inches of space between both sides and the counter. There is cockroaches here. You can manage to keep most out of your apartment by keeping it clean but no way to get rid of them completely because they are everywhere. They also charge ridiculous late fees for rent and with the lady out of the office so much it seems like she is purposefully trying to make people pay late fees. For instance Labor Day weekend she took off and put a sign up on the door that read "will be out of office for holiday til tues (last day to pay rent) all rent must be paid by 5 o'clock tues or late fees will be assessed." Well Tuesday rolls around and I go to see if she is in the office and guess what? There's a sign that says "will return at 10:45" and it was 11. We were told there was free wifi, it never worked. The first couple of months here we had a neighbor beating his gf and threatening cops regularly. The "gated" community is a lie because the gate is never closed. It's open all day and night, we often have weird people coming in and out of our parking lot all the time. People always park in our spot and we've had someone break into our car and steal our radio. They say they have security but I've never actually seen security here, cigarette butts in front of our door all the time. Wood Rot all over the place, and derelicts always hanging out on the grass around the apartments. We are basically waiting until our lease is up and then we are out of here. I don't really suggest anyone rent here. It's quickly going downhill and will be slums soon.
