There's a tree hanging on a powerline. It's on Land Bank property, so the city won't touch it. I've called and emailed the Land Bank 10 times. No response.

The Philadelphia Land Bank encroaches on existing rowhome structures. They are building on the 2600 block of Sears Street and they have chipped away at the chimneys attached on the side of the homes. They use the authority of a surveyor, hired by their agency, to create land designations that bleed over into our homes. I have reached out to find assistance (AG, IG, Land Bank, legal counsel) before they reach this stage at 2626 Sears Street, where they are currently excavating and banging into my home, 2624 Sears Street. I have found no help. I'm hoping someone will see this message in the next day or two and reach out to me - [email protected]. I don't wish to impede progress, I am protecting my home. I'm sure this is happening all over the city and I want to put a stop to this encroachment.

One of the worst organizations that I have ever dealt with! Extremely rude, non-responsive, & does not stick to their word. I was promised access to one of their land lots to move purchased items into my backyard. I followed their process and paid the insurance fees and was ready to go and at the last second they said I could not longer complete the process and it would be trespassing. Avoid this organization at all costs!

Yes; the type of entity making the application is checked off on the application and there are specific documentation requirements for each type.
The Philadelphia Land Bank does get the fine from the city. But ultimately its left pocket right pocket so it doesn't matter. The fine is paid with revenues from the city budget, which ultimately means it comes from your tax dollars. It incompetency at its finest. I have a PRA property next to me with 4' tall weeds and trash and underwear in it and nobody cares. CLIP shows up twice a year to clean but its right back to where it was before 2 weeks later. There is no sense of responsibility in the city and they just don't care.
Definitely not.
