Their first level of contact for customer service is amongst the worst, if the not THEE worst, I've ever experienced in my life. They are rude, argumentative, and disrespectful. Our first bill said we went through 80,000, gallons of water, and even after it was determined BY THEIR TECHS that the problem was in their end, their customer service still kept insisting the bill was correct and that we need to pay. We've talked to 3 or 4 different people over 6 calls. They're lucky I didn't take their names down, but lesson learned. If i had a choice to choose my water company, I'd rather pay double with another company than deal with American water for one more day.

You need to give access to costumer to start or end services online because you customer service rep ARE RUDE

Get it together Indiana American Water. Automated system did not work, then when I requested to speak with an actual person, the service rep was having issues with the scheduling system. When the system finally worked, they give you a 6 hour timeframe to come and check the meter. Or, I could wait 3 months for an appt. with a 3 hour window. First time calling your company, and hopefully the last time…30 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.

Gary Conservancy District. I live in Merrillville, closer to the Merrillville Conservancy District. I don't know where the Gary office is!!
None at all. It's really sad
If they're going to shut off your service and this is a public service, they damn well better be open 24/7! WTF
I phone number
No but I got a bill that showed "other charges" that the representative couldn't tell me what they were.
"About a penny, a gallon."
Sorry about that.. check for a email and send a message. That what I did..
No. Not for 10 years now
American water is definitely one source
No
Have they?
It's free
Rent from a landlord that pays the water for you.
You would have to call them and find out. This is Google, not their contact page. They dont receive these questions.
