When I called they said they help with finding housing. I was then scheduled to meet him. Yes he's very well dressed and respectful but not resourceful for me. I asked for help finding housing in the area and he suggested I not pay my rent and get an eviction notice. Why? I'm trying to relocate not be sat on a curb. I've never been evicted. I paid my bills like I always do. Good thing I did! If I hadn't I'd be homeless because he stopped answering my calls nor did he return them. I told him I didn't need financial assistance. I guess that disqualified me for his time and knowledge?

Well. If you won't let him stay with you. He just might be homeless for a few. But they have programs, that can help him get on his feet. This is a very good place to start. They can help him get a job. But there's no place for homeless people in Niles. I'm so sorry to tell you that 😞
Hi Robyn... if you call the center at 269-687-9860 you can leave a message requesting an appointment so we can discuss your situation and find the best solution for you to get into a place. Someone will call you back to schedule.
Yes they do
We don't directly assist but we might be able to point you to low cost options. Are you able to visit the center so we can get additional info to determine the best way to help you?
My visit to the Ferry St. Resource center was very helpful. Kuddos to the staff. Even with the pandemic they are there for those that need help. Ladies you are amazing. You can call for an appointment and wear a mask
No but they will give resources available in the area. Thanks to all the staff who work deligently to help those in need.
What u mean
You could bring them to the Niles housing commission located at 251 Cass St, which is a low income and elderly apartment building. Or the good will. Either way, its very nice of you to donate! Thank you
