I stopped in to pay some delinquent property taxes. I was greeted by a very friendly and joking sheriff's deputy as I passed through the metal detector. The transaction was handled by a knowledgeable and pleasant person at the counter. If it weren't for the taxes, I would say it was an enjoyable visit with the the people who work there.

The will county treasurers office would be the place to go to discuss your tax liability. I own a mobile home park and sometimes it happens that residents don’t have the money when the bill comes due. You want to go there and discuss your financial situation and pay as much as possible. They can sell your land in a tax sale in order to collect so its not something you want to put off. 321 north chicago street in downtown Joliet, 1st floor. They close at 4:30 but security officer won’t let you in the building after about 4:15.
I can not find my tax bill and want to pay this. How do I do this please?
I'm not sure, you should call or visit the office, if you have a disability, veteran or any other special situation, only them can answer your questions. The attention by phone or in person it's excellent clear and accurate.
If I remember right, go to the treasurer's office on second floor and have your taxes with you.
Clearly there is some error. You should bring another check to Will county treasurers office at 321 N Chicago Street and stop payment on the other check.
